I am jee but I am not allowed to take drop can I do diploma(from 10th result) and prepare for jee. within time I want to give on demand exam for 12th marks improvement. Is it a good choice Please suggest

Ans: Diploma programmes after Class 10 enable early entry into engineering fundamentals through 3-year polytechnic courses in disciplines such as computer science, electronics or mechanical engineering, delivered by accredited institutes with practical labs and industry?aligned internships. Diploma holders who complete a recognised three-year programme become eligible to sit for JEE Main and can pursue lateral-entry into B.Tech programmes, though JEE Main scores won’t secure seats in NITs/CFTIs. For board marks improvement, the National Institute of Open Schooling’s On-Demand Examination system allows students to reattempt Class XII subjects at convenient intervals, with transfer?of-credit for passed papers and flexible scheduling across accredited centres, ensuring minimal academic delay and stronger readiness for entrance exams.

Pursue a diploma immediately to build engineering foundations and maintain JEE Main eligibility, while concurrently enrolling in NIOS On-Demand for Class XII to optimise board scores and admission prospects. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hi sir After taking first drop I repeat my 12th boards because I have only 64 percent in my 12th boards and in drop year I gave JEE also but I can't qualify..so sir I have questions that can I take any college and take partially drop. I mean I will prepare for JEE once again along with college ? Please tell me sir I am confused and scared also
Ans: Gagan, Taking a partial drop (preparing for JEE while attending college) is possible but challenging. Students often join engineering colleges via state quotas or management seats (e.g., AP/TS EAPCET Category-B) to secure admission with lower board scores (64% is sufficient for many private colleges). However, balancing college academics (attendance, assignments) with JEE prep requires strict time management and discipline. For instance, students in integrated programs (e.g., Resonance, Sri Chaitanya) combine 12th boards with JEE coaching, but this model is harder to replicate in college. Alternatives include lateral entry after a diploma or targeting colleges with flexible attendance policies. While partial drops are mentally taxing, they allow backup options if JEE isn’t cleared. Prioritize colleges with lighter academic loads or online/distance programs to focus on JEE. Note that NITs/IIITs require 75% boards (65% for reserved categories), so improving board scores via compartment exams may help future attempts. Recommendation: If confident in multitasking, opt for a partial drop; otherwise, focus on college and switch branches later via GATE or state exams. All the best for your admission and a bright future!

I have passed my 12 in 2025 from up baord (67 percent ) marks but this is not enought for my JEE exam in this 75% marks is mandatory but i take drop for jee 2026 so can i do my 12 again in 2026 for fulfill the JEE criteria.... Some peoples say that ki improvment exam de sakte hu me next year and some says ki me privet candidate se bhi de sakte hu next year which is baest for me and dono me kya difference h kya process and eligibility hote h dono ki
Ans: Srishty, You can improve your 12th board percentage via UP Board’s improvement (compartment) exam or by registering as a private candidate to retake all subjects, both through the UPMSP portal from May 19 to June 10, 2025. Improvement exams allow re-attempting only failed subjects with a fee of ?306 per paper, whereas private candidature lets you re-enrol to redo the entire 12th course, requiring fresh registration, documentation, and ?4,000 board fee paid via demand draft to UP Board. Both routes reset your marks, but private candidature offers full?subject retake and hence higher scoring scope, while improvement exams are limited to maximum two or three failed subjects. For JEE Main/Advanced 2026 eligibility, you must secure ≥75% (general) or ≥65% (SC/ST) in Class 12 aggregate or top 20 percentile, and re-appearing privately gives full control over your board percentage. Recommendation: Opt for UP Board private candidature to re-take all subjects and maximize your chance of crossing the 75% threshold for JEE eligibility. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

My daughter failed in class 9th and now she has enrolled in NIOS secondary . There is lot of free time . What can she do keep herself busy?
Ans: Before I answer your question, Vikas Sir, I want to ensure that your daughter doesn't spend more than 45 minutes a day on her phone or other electronic devices. If your daughter becomes addicted, she risks eye strain, headaches from blue light, poor posture, weight gain from inactivity, sleep issues from late-night use, and eating problems. It can also hurt her mind by making her depressed and anxious (27% more likely), making it difficult to concentrate and study, making her feel lonely and isolated from less real interaction, making her feel low self-esteem from comparison traps, and making her stressed and irritable from dopamine crashes.

Even if both parents work, keep communication open to boost her confidence—know what she loves. She should study 4-5 hours daily using NIOS books/SWAYAM and Class 10 mocks with the Pomodoro technique (25-30 mins study, 5-10 mins break) to stay focused. Add 30 minutes of skills like coding/typing or Duolingo English if interested, plus 10 minutes of yoga, hobbies (gardening/cooking/drawing/poems), and walks/cycling for fitness and fun. Finally, join NIOS WhatsApp groups for doubts and help at home and track weekly goals with rewards. Don't force anything—let her choose what excites her most! All the BEST for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!
