Sir, I had my Class 12 board exams, but I am not sure whether I will pass Physics and Chemistry because I am getting around 18 marks in each. Sir, can I get 5 grace marks in each subject? I have calculated the maximum marks I can get, and it comes to around 18. Sir, if I fail, can I appear for National Institute of Open Schooling this year itself? My main aim is to do a B.Tech from a local college. I got 80 percentile in my first attempt and will likely get a similar score in Session

Ans: Soham, you can take the NIOS test, but you must score at least 75% or be in the top 20% (including NIOS). Also, keep in mind that if you get an 80 percentile, you won't get good NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs in any branch other than the one you want. Should this year not go as planned, please prepare for the JEE and consider taking it again next year. You should also try to improve your score in NIOS and JEE. Instead of just relying on JEE/JoSAA Counseling, though, have backup plans with 4–5 private engineering colleges. All the BEST for Your Prosperous Future!
