Sir I passed class 10th in2022 and class 12th in 2024 but my percentage is 65 and I didn't give jee mains now I repeat my class 12th from nios in 2025 so can I have a chance to take a drop for jee main and jee advanced and if I can qualify my jee advanced exam in drop year so joosa accept my documents for councilling or not please sir guide me in proper wey

Hello sir... I have a doubt that I have a friend who filled his first jee mains form with his 12th but unfortunately he didn't qualify jee mains in 2023. Then he took his first drop and qualified jee mains but not qualify jee advanced in 2024. Now he is taking his second drop then can he is eligible for jee advanced 2025. In his first jee mains with 12th he got 70 percentile and after first drop he got 86 percentile. He is an OBC NCL student. Sir, I just wanna to know can he is eligible for jee advanced 2025. Can you please explain me if he was eligible for jee advanced 2025 then how and if not then how???? Please sir..........

Ans: Whether he will be eligible for JEE-advanced depends upon his minimum cut-off percentile in JEE-Main which was around 61 percentile for OBC candidates. This may vary next year. All the BEST for Your Bright Future.

In 1st query and follow-up, it is yet not clear about the words "second-year dropper" stated by you. You also did not mention, how many attempts you made for JEE (Mains) till now. When do you appear for the 1st time?

As already replied before, for JEE main or advance, you can be a student of any board. You are eligible for JEE (Adv) if and only if you are qualified in JEE (Mains) and have a score min 75% in the board examination. If you fulfill both these conditions, you can appear for JEE (Adv).

Sir my question is that I passed class 12th from up board in 2024 with 65% and I didn't register for jee mains that year now I take admission in nios for class 12th to improve my number and I think I can get more than 75%this year and also registered for jee mains so my question is that can I take a drop year for jee mains as well as jee advanced because jee advanced allow only one year gap after 12th please sir guide me in proper way

Ans: Sultan, Yes, you can take a drop year for JEE Mains and appear in both 2025 and 2026. However, for JEE Advanced, your final attempt will be in 2025, as IITs allow only one year of gap after Class 12. If your goal is to get into an IIT, you must clear JEE Advanced in 2025. However, if you're open to NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs, you can take an additional drop and appear for JEE Mains in 2026. To maximize your chances, it’s highly recommended to apply for 5-7 entrance exams and explore state-level counseling processes alongside JEE Mains, rather than relying solely on one exam. To achieve a good rank in JEE Advanced, aim for at least a 90 percentile in JEE Main, though a 95+ percentile significantly improves your chances. All the BEST for your Prosperous Future. Yes, If you wish so, you can take the drop year and appear 12th through NIOS. You will be eligible to appear for JEE (Mains) and JEE (Adv) if qualified in mains.

as per last year's cutoff you are not eligible for JOSAA counselling. You can improve your score and get admissions in your dream college. Control negatives, don't give into the temptation of marking the option if you are not sure, options are designed that way, you commit a mistake and you will get a wrong answer there waiting to be marked.
30-35 questions correctly answered without any negative marking can get you your desired college.
