Career

I and my husband are first gen doctors. We are currently earning 52 lpa excluding all the expense and taxes with full time 9 to 5 jobs. As major cities are saturated and have less pay potential we are living in a second tier city with good facilities. Is it worth to accept a offer of 66 LPA and move to a interior town or is it good to focus on staying at same city and finding secondary income sources (eg: start a private opd) though were are yet to figure out how to start with full te jobs. We are still waiting for a baby to arrive so their schooling etc. is not a burden.Kindly opine.

Regarding options its all about what you want to do and what will make you happy, focus on that. List your priorities and listen to your heart.

I am a semi qualified CA, CA Inter Passed with over 16 Yrs of experience into finance & accounts domain worked in various industries including MNCs, domestic companies, CA Firm, trading companies etc . Presently working in one of the reputed Pubic trust running educational institutions drawing salary 12 LPA, the growth here is very slow but job is secured, recently received a job offer from on of advisory company run by a CA offering 17 LPA, is it worth joining, please advise

I can understand your predicament...

Here are few pointers that you may want to consider.

1. Experience that you want to gain and how you look at your career over next 5 years atleast.

2. Present financial situation and need to build corpus. Remember your next salary growth comes from existing salary.

3. Opportunities that you will get in future. Meaning of you are with advisory company what kind of opportunities you will get in case you want to leave vis-a-vis you working with reputed public trust.

You have a very rich experience basis that kindly do pros and cons of both the opportunities. I am sure you will get your answer.

i’m working in a PSU General insurance company. My CTC is 14 LPA and place of posting is my Home town in Gujarat. I’m getting an offer from HDFC life insurance to work as AI-ML engineer/Data scientist with a similar package of 14 LPA. Job location is in Bangalore. Should i consider the offer and relocate? i have family of 3 members.

Ans: Hello Narayana
BSC IT requires physics & chemistry as well in 11-12th. You need to check with few universities if they allow this. Or else you can change the board & move to PCM in 12th standard.

My average score in neet mock test is 300 I want to crack this exam in this attempt itself as there are 3month left I don't know how to proceed things further please guide me

cracking neet requires much fewer marks than what you are scoring, hence you will qualify for the NEET, there is no doubt about it. For admission in a govt college seat, you need a 650+ score if from the open category or a private college seat you need 550+.
Good Deemed College seat requires 400+ marks
You need to analyse your test score, where you are making mistakes and what kind of mistakes they are & improve your weaker areas with every test.

Planning to earn through some passive income ( trading, shares) Can i retire

I want to retire at age of 45 (next year end) with corpus of 30Lakh US shares, 63lakh EPF, 20 lakh shares, 40lakh ppf ( self+wife+son), 5lakh MF+5Lakh bank balance. Expected to have corpus of 2Cr by end of 2026. Own house of 2 Cr. in tier 2 city and no loan. Have sone age 13. Expected monthly expense of 60k. Am I on track?

Ans: Hello;

Assuming you keep aside 50 L for your kid's higher education, you will be left with corpus of 1.5 Cr.

If you invest this sum in equity savings type mutual fund with moderate risk rating and do SWP at 4% it won't generate income enough to cover your monthly expenses.

Recommend you to continue building corpus aggressively over next 5 years and review again.
