How to join the Indian Army after class 12? My son is in class 11 right now.

Ans: Hello
NDA exam is the clear option for career in Defence Services after 10+2. NDA exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC (notified in Jan and June in leading papers). Age limit is 16 to 19. For application in Air Force and Navy, physics, chemistry, maths is needed at 10+2 level. NDA exam involves a written exam followed by SSB interview.

Ans: He would have prepared for the NDA exam (presumably) which is a few days away. Other than that he can try for technical entry for Navy for which he needs to give his JEE. Marks of 12th and rank in JEE will be the criteria for applying for this scheme. If he hasn’t appeared for the NDA/NAVAC exam yet, there are more chances available. Ans: You havent told me what stage of your education you are in. MATH may not be required for some entry schemes other than NDA/IMA/AFCAT but you need to check that online on the website.

Ans: Hello
Since you have already joined college I assume you will like to finish your commerce degree before exploring career in Army. In the final year of your Degree you will have the option of applying in CDS (Combined Defence Services Exam) that will pave the way for you to join Army. CDS is conducted by UPSC twice a year (notifications come out in Jun/Jul & Dec/Jan in leading newspapers. CDS entails a written exam followed by SSB interview. Age limit is 20-27 years. You will have the option of joining Army in permanent or short service commission as per your choice followed by merit in exam. Main preparation needed is for SSB interview.

as per last year's cutoff you are not eligible for JOSAA counselling. You can improve your score and get admissions in your dream college. Control negatives, don't give into the temptation of marking the option if you are not sure, options are designed that way, you commit a mistake and you will get a wrong answer there waiting to be marked.
30-35 questions correctly answered without any negative marking can get you your desired college.
