Career

have a query regarding my eligibility. I completed my Class 12 (State Board) in the PCB stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) in November/December 2025 without Mathematics. I am no longer interested in NEET and wish to appear for JEE Main. I plan to take a separate Mathematics exam under the same board in 2026. Will I be eligible for JEE and the subsequent JoSAA counseling with two separate certificates (PCB from 2025 and Mathematics from 2026)? Additionally, in the JEE application form, should I declare my Class 12 passing year as 2025 or 2026? Will they accept two certificates

Ans: Yes, you're eligible for JEE Main 2026 and JoSAA if you pass Maths in 2026—declare Class 12 year as 2026 (year of completing PCM). Two certificates are accepted as improvement/additional subject. However, I suggest you have 3-4 more backup options by applying for Private Colleges' Engineering Exams apart from JEE. Sir are you really sure that I'm eligible with two certificates and I have to choose there 2026, 12th passing year right? When I had done my pcb 12 in 2025.
Ans: Yes. It will. However, I suggest you have 4-5 more backup options instead of relying only on JEE.

But sir why you're suggesting three four options too when you're sure that it is acceptable like the students who had done this before has they been successful in this like could they do this?
Ans: To help you more precisely, could you kindly clarify when you started JEE preparation, whether you're enrolled in any coaching institute, how you're performing in practice/mock tests, if you've taken any psychometric assessments for aptitude/interests/personality, what prompted your shift from Medicine to Engineering, and any other relevant details?
