What are my PCM daughter's career options besides Engineering?

Hello sir, What are the career options for students having PCM in 12th standard other than engineering degrees. My daughter is good at Maths and average in chemistry and physics also we as parents not able to decide what could be the appropriate graduation choice for her. Just to add she is also not inclined towards programming and AI.

It is glad to hear that your daughter is good at Mathematics. She is average in Physics and chemistry. Considering these parameters, there are many choices for graduation in different fields. But you have to explore the right field as per her choice/interest. some of them are as follows:
(1) Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) i.e. B.Sc. in Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Economics
(2) B. Arch.
(3) B. Des.
(4) BBA
(5) Actuarial Science (Best for Math enthusiasts who enjoy solving real-world problems involving finance and risk.)
(6) Data Science / Data Analytics
(7) Chartered Accountancy (CA)
(8) Aviation
(9) Hotel Management / Culinary Arts
(10) Law (Integrated 5-year LLB)
(11) Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
(12) Defence (NDA)
From the above options, It would be great to go with UG in LLB and then PG in LLM. There are chances to become Jujdge at an early stage as there are special reservations for female candidates in judiciary posts. When a candidate joins LLB, he gets a lot of extra time to learn extracurricular activities and some relevant courses. This is a very cool and prestigious field. Generally, students ignore it at an early stage.

Hello Sir, My daughter in class 10th and planning to choose PCM as stream so wanted to know, what are the career options available in India ?

Ans: Based on her academic performance & interest, she will have the options of Engineering (multiple domains) through JEE & Other Engineering Entrance Exams, Research such as IISER through IAT exam, Liberal Education/Arts (Psychology, Economics, English etc.) through CUET Exam. It is advisable to decide before she finished her 10th and prepare for Entrance Exams, applicable to the streams/disciplines, she decides to pursue. Also advisable to have Plan B & Plan C and / or to appear for 5-7 Entrance Exams instead of relying on only Entrance Exam. All the BEST for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future.

I am a 12th student now in state board of tamil Nadu and I am a government school student what is the minimum requirement for me to join mbbs in AFMC medical College

Ans: The following requirements are mandatory for admission to AFMC.

Age: 17-24yrs
Academic qualitfication: FIRST ATTEMPT with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these three science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard.
Candidates seeking admission for MBBS course at AFMC Pune will have to mandatorily qualify the NEET UG 2024 Examination conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). 11. Eligible candidates who are interested to join AFMC, Pune to pursue the MBBS course will have to mandatorily register and apply for AFMC, Pune on DGHS

The shortlisted candidates will be called for screening which comprises of Test of English Language and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview and Medical Examination at AFMC, Pune.

ToELR & PAT - Test of English Language and Reasoning (ToELR) in the form of Computer Based Test (CBT) and also Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) to be conducted at AFMC, Pune only for candidates shortlisted for interview. (t) Written Examination Score - Score obtained in NEET (UG) 2024 (720 marks) added to ToELR Score (80 marks) divided by 4 to get a score out of 200.
