Career

Hello Sir, my son is studying in Std 10th. He is applying in Feb 2025 board. I request to please suggest good career path for him. To know more about him. He is interested more interested in Computers and Science Chemistry. He also likes to read history and eager to explore old heritage cultures. He score more than 70% in school exams. We are confused which field he should choose Medical or Engg or Something else. Request for your advice and guidance.

Ans: Hi Imran
Ask your son to focus on the 10th exam and excel in it.
Take the admission to the science stream and ask him to join all PCMB subjects.
He will tell you whether he is comfortable in Biology or Mathematics. Accordingly, the Medical or Engineering side can be decided/chosen. Don't think much today. At least wait for one more year.
If he is interested in computers, then ask him to join some online/offline programming-related courses.
If he likes history, ask him to go through the book- Constitution of India.

Ans: It is natural for your son to look for direction from parents and teachers. Seek out from him subjects that interest him the most, the scores he gets in those subjects, what does he want to do once he grows up to get a sense of direction he is seeking. It is best to not impose one's own will on a child. I would, therefore, suggest you seek his interest areas but let him decide.
