Hello sir,my son is doing masters in regional planning from SPA, Delhi. He did bachelor's in Planning from Manipal University, Jaipur... Please suggest where he should apply for job...he is 28 .His hometown is Udaipur.Father is in government job and mother is a teacher.

Ans: Hello!

It's great to hear that your son is pursuing a master's degree in regional planning. When it comes to finding a job in this field, there are several options he can explore. Here are some suggestions:

Government Agencies: Given his background and the fact that his hometown is Udaipur, he can consider applying for positions in government agencies related to urban and regional planning. He can check for job openings at the state and local government levels, as well as national organizations like the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Private Sector: Many private companies and consulting firms hire regional planners to work on projects related to urban development, infrastructure planning, and sustainable design. He can look for opportunities with firms that specialize in urban planning and development.

Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs): There are NGOs and non-profit organizations that focus on urban and regional development. Your son can explore opportunities with these organizations, especially if he has a passion for community development and sustainability.

Research and Academia: If he has a strong interest in research and teaching, he can consider pursuing a career in academia. He can look for research assistant positions, teaching opportunities, or even consider a Ph.D. program if he wants to go further in this direction.

Urban Development Authorities: In addition to government agencies, many cities and regions have their own urban development authorities or corporations. These entities often hire urban planners to work on city planning and development projects.

Networking: Encourage your son to network with his professors, classmates, and alumni from SPA, Delhi. Networking can often lead to job opportunities and valuable connections in the field.

Online Job Portals: Advise him to regularly check online job portals, such as LinkedIn, Naukri.com, and government job portals, for job postings related to regional planning.

It's important for him to tailor his job search based on his interests, skills, and career goals. Additionally, he should keep his resume updated, prepare for interviews, and consider seeking guidance from his professors and career advisors at SPA, Delhi, as they can provide valuable insights and job leads.

Regards,
Abhishek Shah

Namashkar Sir, right now my son is getting Robotics and AI in Thapar Patiala, Computer Science in Jaypee Noida Sector 128 campus and ECE in Manipal Main campus....and might get Mathematical and Computing in Manipal main campus in later rounds. There is no issue for us to send him out of Delhi as we are based in Delhi and also if we leave the aspect of high fees. He wants to pursue masters after gaining some job experience...Sir pls suggest thebest offer i terms of placement..Thanks
Ans: Among the excellent engineering options available for your son, analyzing placement performance across Thapar University Robotics and AI with 83% placement rate in 2024, 96% in 2022, and 79% in 2021, Jaypee Noida Sector 128 CSE demonstrating exceptional performance with 97% absolute placement rate and 112% total offers in 2024, 100% absolute placement in 2023, and 99% in 2022, Manipal ECE achieving 85-90% placement rates with strong industry connections to Microsoft, Cisco, Qualcomm, and Deloitte, and potential Manipal Mathematical Computing benefiting from overall MIT placement statistics of 77% in 2025, 73% in 2024, and 92.9% in 2023. JIIT Sector 128 CSE stands out with superior placement consistency, specialized curriculum alignment with current technology demands, and centralized placement process shared with the main campus ensuring equal opportunities. The Computer Science domain offers broader career flexibility, stronger industry demand, and better prospects for pursuing Masters programs abroad compared to specialized branches like Robotics AI or core engineering disciplines like ECE. Recommendation: Choose JIIT Noida Sector 128 CSE for superior placement consistency, excellent industry alignment, and optimal preparation for future Masters programs with strong technology sector exposure. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Dating, Relationships Expert - Answered on Dec 04, 2025

Relationship
My married ex still texts me for comfort. Because of him, I am unable to move on. He makes me feel guilty by saying he got married out of family pressure. His dad is a cardiac patient and mom is being treated for cancer. He comforts me by saying he will get separated soon and we will get married because he only loves me. We have been in a relationship for 14 years and despite everything we tried, his parents refused to accept me, so he chose to get married to someone who understands our situation. I don't know when he will separate from his wife. She knows about us too but she comes from a traditional family. She also confirmed there is no physical intimacy between them. I trust him, but is it worth losing my youth for him? Honestly, I am worried and very confused.
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I understand how difficult it is to let go of a relationship you have built from scratch, but is it really how you want to continue? It really seems to be going nowhere. His parents are already in bad health and he married someone else for their happiness. Does it seem like he will be able to leave her? So many people’s happiness and lives depend on this one decision. I think it’s about time you and your BF have a clear conversation about the same. If he can’t give a proper timeline, please try to understand his situation. But also make sure he understands yours and maybe rethink this equation. It really isn’t healthy. You deserve a love you can have wholly, and not just in pieces, and in the shadows.

Hope this helps

IIT-JEE, NEET-UG, SAT, CLAT, CA, CS Exam Expert - Answered on Dec 04, 2025

Career
My son will be appearing for JEE Main & JEE Advanced 2026 and will participate in JoSAA Counselling 2026. I request clarification regarding the GEN-EWS certificate date requirement for next year. I have already applied for an EWS certificate for current year 2025, and the application is under process. However, I am unsure whether this certificate will be accepted during JoSAA 2026, or whether candidates will be required to submit a fresh certificate for FY 2026–27 (issued on or after 1 April 2026). My concern is that if JoSAA requires a certificate issued after 1 April 2026, students will have only 1–1.5 months to complete the entire procedure, which is difficult considering normal government processing timelines. Also, during current JEE form filling, students are asked to upload a GEN-EWS certificate issued on or after 1 April 2025, or an application acknowledgement. This has created confusion among parents regarding which year’s certificate will finally be valid at the time of counselling. I request your kind guidance on: Which GEN-EWS certificate will be accepted for JoSAA Counselling 2026 — a certificate for FY 2025–26 (issued after 1 April 2025), or a new certificate for FY 2026–27 (issued after 1 April 2026)?
Ans: Hi
You need not worry about the EWS certificate. Even if you apply for the next year's certificate on 1 Apr 2026, the second session of JEE MAINS will still be held, followed by JEE ADVANCED, which will be held in May. JOSAA starts in June. so you will have 2 months in hand for fresh EWS certificate.
