Mining engineering involves extensive field work under tough and unpredictable conditions, which isn’t suitable for everyone, some spend long hours in adverse environments. The advantage of a CSE/IT path is that you’re less tied to continuous field updates and can comfortably balance periods of intense study. Ultimately, though, the decision is yours.
