Parthiban TR, a former professor, has been working in the fields of training and learning development for over 17 years.
As a career counsellor and mentor, he has been tutoring students from Classes I to XII (predominantly CBSE), UG (engineering) and others for nearly a decade.
He has worked as a lecturer and professor at the Kuppam Engineering College, Kuppam; the NRI Group of Institutions in Bhopal; and the Bhopal Institute of Technology and Science in Bhopal.
Parthiban qualified for GATE in 2002, 2011 and 2013 and has been training aspirants to prepare for NEET-UG and IIT-JEE.

Hi i have always been struggling for a successful career .firstly i gave my 5 years for the preparation of IAS and other government exams but couldn't make it and the place i used to live was less in opportunity inspite of being masters in economics i was underpaid. So i joined the institute as an academic counselor/centre manager but now i am looking for job and want to upskill myself .can u please suggest some realistic skills which can help me to give a shape to my career as i am 34 now so i dont have that much time to invest and yeah i am considering some courses like digital marketing, data analyst ,project management but dont know which will be best for me .

Ans: Try Digital Marketing (Or) Data Analyst by joining any Institute which provides Job Guarantee immediately after completing the Course.

Hi Sir, I am 45 years of age. I have done my MBA in marketing and systems(2001) and diploma in web centric technology i. I have worked in Pharma sector for 14 years in sales. Post that i worked as sales manger& Purchase manager in a hospital. Later for 5 years i was doing my own business. Currently i am working as Operations Manager in an IT startup. I am also given a supervisory role as testing team supervisor due to some knowledge of software testing. Please suggest a skill which i should learn for good earning which should be relevant for next 10-20 years. I am ready to learn and i am quick learner. Please suggest skills where i can do free lancing as i do not wish to do job any more.

Ans: Dear Friend , Many like you suffer from mid career crisis due to various avoidable or unavoidable reasons . since you have spent good Number of Years In pharma and hospital sectors , both having rewarding job prospects , I wish , you get back to pharma or hospital sector as a Sr manager . Only thing I wish to suggest , you prefer an established house rather than start ups at this age. IT start ups can be risky option. Getting back to sales and administration or Purchase in pharma will be easy . Acquiring New skills sets or doing new courses in logistics /purchase or inventory management could be ok, provided you can wait for your new job. Thanks

I am working in a software MNC for 10+ years. My company has been laying off people last couple of years as cost cutting measure. Now Management is putting undue pressure on me to resign to avoid paying severance. They are trying to implicate me in false PIP if I don't resign myself. What should I do?

Ans: Dismissal could be temporary, while termination is permanent.

Both can be on account of misconduct
