Hello, I'm 23 years old. Have graduated with a BA economics degree and am unemployed ever since( I have no work experience or interest in this field anymore). This year I started learning web development to try and get into IT. I enjoy coding. My plan was to learn enough skills and make some projects in order to begin applying to jobs by the end of this year. But the tech job market is terrible right now, even students from engineering backgrounds are unable to get jobs. I am very worried and I don't know if I should do something else. I cannot afford to study further right now. I am very confused.

Ans: Hello there,
Apart from your job search, you could start volunteering for NGOs. Once you have done some interaction with NGO management, talk to them and see if you can use some of your existing skills in web development to help them in their work. That way, you would also build real portfolio projects which will distinguish you in the job market. Also, you could explore opportunities in the NGO sector once you have some experience under your belt, while you can continue to search for jobs in the tech sector if that's where you would ultimately want to work. All the best to you!
