My daughter score 93% and rank is 4554 in JEE paper 3 (For architecture). We are from Maharashtra and general category. Is there any chance to get NIT college.
If not what are other options for good Architecture colleges for BArch program
Ans: With a JEE Main B.Arch rank of 4,554, admission to NITs for architecture is unlikely, as their closing ranks for general category candidates are usually below 1,600. Your daughter should focus on reputed architecture colleges outside NITs that offer quality education and good placement opportunities. Institutes like SPA Delhi and CEPT Ahmedabad are prestigious but highly competitive. Jamia Millia Islamia and Sir JJ College of Architecture Mumbai are excellent options with strong academic and placement records. Maharashtra-based colleges such as Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune, MIT Pune, and Rachana Sansad Mumbai provide good alternatives with manageable competition. Emerging private universities like VIT Vellore and Amity also offer B.Arch programs with growing industry links. She should also consider appearing for NATA if interested, as some colleges accept NATA scores alongside JEE Main. Prioritize institutes with strong faculty, infrastructure, and internship opportunities. Given her rank and academic profile, applying broadly to these reputed private and state-level colleges will maximize admission chances and career prospects.
Recommendation: Focus on reputed private and state-level architecture colleges like Sir JJ College Mumbai, Jamia Millia Islamia, CEPT Ahmedabad, and Bharati Vidyapeeth Pune, while keeping an eye on NATA-based admissions. NITs are unlikely with the current rank, so diversify options for the best academic and career outcomes. All the best for your daughter's admission and a bright future!

How about Chandigarh college of architecture, should we consider that
Ans: Chandigarh College of Architecture (CCA) is renowned for its iconic Le Corbusier-designed campus, offering a vibrant and interactive environment. The 5-acre campus features modern, air-conditioned classrooms, well-equipped computer labs with the latest CAD software, a digital library with over 21,000 titles, and extensive sports facilities. Hostels for both boys and girls provide comfortable accommodation with amenities like Wi-Fi, gym, and recreation spaces. The campus also includes a canteen, assembly hall, workshops, and a materials museum, supporting both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Placement opportunities exist but are moderate, with most graduates joining leading architecture firms or pursuing higher studies.
