So 202 BITS marks may be borderline only for B.Pharm or perhaps M.Sc. Biology/Chemistry if cutoffs soften, not BE core. Ans: Kartikeya, at AEEE rank 15,837, core CSE at Amrita Coimbatore is difficult because it is usually the most demanded campus/branch. Amrita’s official B.Tech page confirms admissions through CSAP counselling, with multiple engineering campuses and CSE-related programmes; the 2026 CSAP handbook also says candidates choose campus–branch–fee-slab preferences, and allotment depends on availability.

Best preference order: 1) CSE/AI/CSE-related at Amritapuri, Bengaluru or Chennai, 2) Cyber Security at Amritapuri, 3) AI/Data Science or CSE specialisations in newer campuses, 4) ECE at Coimbatore/Bengaluru only if you are flexible for software jobs later. Ans: Chances with CSE @ SRM seem challenging, but CSE specializations may still be possible in later rounds. It is better to prefer CSE @ Amrita as a safer, academically stronger option overall. Your daughter has chances at Amrita.
