With Comedk rank of 12,500 is there any possibility of getting BTech CSE in any of these Bengaluru engineering colleges: RVCE, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore Institute of Technology, BMS Institute of Technology?

Ans: With a COMEDK rank of 12,500, it is not possible to secure BTech CSE in RV College of Engineering (RVCE), MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT), or BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE), as their CSE cutoffs are typically much lower—RVCE closes CSE admissions below 500, MSRIT and BMSCE around 1,000–1,400, and even for ECE, their cutoffs are under 2,600 for the general category. However, you do have a realistic chance for CSE at Bangalore Institute of Technology (BIT), where the cutoff extends up to 25,000, and at BMS Institute of Technology (BMSIT), where the expected CSE cutoff is between 4,600 and 4,800, though your rank is slightly above this range and may be considered in later rounds or for allied branches. The recommendation is to focus on CSE at BIT or consider allied branches in BMSIT, as CSE in RVCE, MSRIT, and BMSCE is not feasible at your current rank. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Dear Sir, My ward has secured 40441 in KCET and 31xxx in COMEDK. We are aiming for CSE or any electronics course if CS isn't possible. Board marks are 90.33%. Please recommend good colleges for the rank in Bengaluru
Ans: Ashwin Sir, With a KCET rank of 40,441 and COMEDK rank of 31,xxx, your ward can target reputable Bengaluru colleges for CSE or electronics branches, though top-tier options like RVCE, BMSCE, and MSRIT are out of reach. Good colleges accepting these ranks include Acharya Institute of Technology, AMC Engineering College, Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Cambridge Institute of Technology, Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology & Management, KS Institute of Technology, Presidency University, and CIT Tumkur. For CSE specializations, options like Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Information Science & Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering are available in these institutes, with closing ranks for CSE and allied branches typically in the 30,000–40,000 range. Placement rates in these colleges range from 65–85% for CSE and ECE, with modern labs and industry exposure.

Recommendation: Prioritize colleges such as Acharya Institute of Technology, Cambridge Institute of Technology, KS Institute of Technology, and Presidency University for CSE or electronics-related branches, as they offer solid placement support, good infrastructure, and industry-oriented programs at your ward’s rank. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello sirji I got place at NIELIT Ajmer and Thapar both CSE and in NIELIT cyber security and I am from Haryana so wht should I choose?
Ans: As a student from the State of Haryana you are offered seats at NIELIT Ajmer for CSE and Cyber Security alongside CSE at Thapar University, a comprehensive evaluation reveals distinct academic and career pathways. NIELIT Ajmer’s B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering covers Internet of Things, Cyber Security, and Blockchain Technology with a 60-seat capacity, admission via JEE Main closing around 47,166 for general category, and government-funded programs under MeitY ensuring affordable fees and specialized labs. Thapar University’s CSE achieved an 83% placement rate in 2023 with 334 recruiting companies, robust T&P infrastructure, and major recruiters like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, and IBM. Thapar’s average package of ?11.90 LPA underscores consistent industry engagement and comprehensive training. NIELIT Ajmer Cyber Security offers targeted government-backed certification courses, dedicated placement cells, and proximity to Haryana (~322 km), while NIELIT Ajmer CSE remains nascent with limited placement history. Both institutions feature modern laboratories, libraries, and safe residential facilities supporting holistic student development.

Recommendation: Choose Thapar University CSE for its better job placement record, strong ties with companies, and good academic standing; look at NIELIT Ajmer Cyber Security for affordable, government-supported training in new security technologies; steer clear of NIELIT Ajmer CSE because it has little job placement information and is still growing. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
