Hi sir. My son is a CBSE +2 student from Chennai. I managed to CSE seat allotment in both RMK Engineering College and Chennai Institute of technology. Which one college should I select while the fees is little bit higher in CIT?

Ans: Hello sir,
Both RMK Engineering College and Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) are good colleges, but if you are asking which one to choose — here’s a simple way to look at it:
If you can manage the slightly higher fees, CIT is the better choice overall, especially for Computer Science. CIT is more industry-focused, has better exposure to modern technologies, and placements are slightly better, especially in core tech companies.
But if finances are tight and managing the fees at CIT will be a burden, then RMK is also a decent choice. They are disciplined, have good infrastructure, and placements are steady, especially for students who work hard.
So, if you’re okay with the slightly higher cost, go with CIT. Otherwise, RMK is still a safe and respectable option.
