Ans: Hello Mummy, Congrats finishing LLB any age is good at 50 its great!
I would approch yiur HR in your current firm and say you will work part time as a in house legal council. This way you can start and then navigate.

Ans: I would suggest you upgrade your skills in the new technologies by doing Online / part-time courses. However continue in manufacturing as that sector is more stable and you would have a good understanding of the manufacturing industry.

Requesting you not to panic at this early stage. Let her appear for JEE session 2 and the state-level engineering entrance test. Let all the results out. You have ample time to think about the available options for engineering admission. At this stage, no need to think about management quota unless and until you want a particular branch in a particular college. Depending on her score in upcoming exams, she may get admission to reputed engineering either in Pune or Bengaluru

Ans: Assuming STCG is from Shares on which STT is paid and sold after 23 Jul 2024, your tax liability for FY 2024-25 shall be around Rs.21300

My father have sold property at 60 lakh and want to divide the amount between us ( we are 2 brothers) to purchase individual properties. But if they gift us then long term capital gain tax of 7.5 lakh is applicable on same. Please advise if he can take 2 properties on his name jointly with us. And if we can apply laon for extra amount that will occur on buying those two properties. Here, I meant 2 separate loans ( one on my name and 1 on my brother name). We want the resolution to avoid capital gain tax and separate properties buying for me and my brother.

Ans: Yes he can purchase 2 properties and claim exemption under Sec 54, (this option is available only once in lifetime).
However, it is suggested to consult CA in order to make calculations and conscious decision with complete details before taking action as there are various factor to be considered before

Can both jointly purchase one residential property as per the provisions of Section 54F of Income Tax Act to claim tax exemption. If so, in what terms?

Ans: Yes you can purchase one residential property within2 years or construct within 3 years provided you do not own more than one property already.
Exemption shall be
Exemption = Long term capital gain * Amount re-invested / Net consideration
