Ans: HI LOKESH,
I regret to say that the issue lies with your attitude. This kind of negative feedback is common in the industry. Securing a job before completing your course is challenging. You have achieved success, but at the same time, you have wasted opportunities. When you received your Pre-Placement Offer (PPO), the company might have assessed your performance, and if they felt you were not up to the mark, they would likely not consider you for a job. In such cases, they may relieve you from your internship after six months, although you might still receive an internship certificate.
If any candidate completes a six-month internship after the course, it could indicate they’re not fit for the purpose. This will reflect on your resume and affect your future prospects. I believe that you may have joined the job without genuine interest, which could also impact the careers of others around you.
You mentioned that you are not very eager to learn new things. It’s essential to change your attitude. You are aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
As you pointed out, you have two options available:
1. Job
2. Higher education
Even after pursuing higher education, you will still need to find a job. However, if you can secure a seat in an IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), it would be wise to pursue that path and plan for your job afterward. Additionally, by securing a seat through competitive exams, you may receive financial support from the government, relieving your parents of that burden.
You could also consider adding on programs or taking part-time work, such as web development (which I believe interests you), to earn money. Therefore, I recommend you focus on higher education before seeking a job.
Remember, whatever you choose to do should be for your own future, not just for your parents' sake.
All the best!
