Sir, we are an unmarried couple planning a short vacation in India before our engagement. I met her on a dating site and we have been together for over 2 years now. I want to propose her in the most unique way before officially meeting our parents. Any suggestions how I can do that?

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
A proposal is such a personal thing. I don't think I can help you with any plans but I can suggest finding out things she loves and something that matters a lot to her and incorporate that in your proposal. Moreover, you can find out if she already has some dream proposal scenario, maybe from a movie or series, and recreate that- you would be making her dream come true.

Kindly focus on your career and building yourself up now...to even go and ask your girlfriend's parents for her hand in marriage, you need to have a stable job and she needs to also grow in her professional life...
Without this, you both can offer each other love but that is not enough in this real world; grow up...request her parents to give you time to be something and then propose marriage to her and also request her to take up a job and grow in her career. In a few years from now, both of you will be emotionally and financially mature to understand marriage and the challenges that come for it and be prepared to move into it together.

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I am not sure how your partner not having parents is against your parent's traditional mindset. It isn't a choice she made. If they are concerned about her family background, it would be great if you could arrange a meetup with any close family of your GF with your parents. Take your time and make your parents understand that not having parents can be her misfortune but not her identity, and it does not make any sense to reject someone based on that.

Last year, I missed qualifying CTET by just 2 marks. This year, I feel more confident after checking the answer key. Can you tell me if the cut-off trends have remained consistent over the years?

Ans: Cut-off trends keep varying from year to year. It can't be a constant. If the questions become relatively easy then the cut off mark will go high and if the questions become relatively hard then the cut off marks come down. But no worries. Ans: Based on the data mentioned above, your Tax liability shall be less in Old Tax Regime (about Rs.25,000.00 without Interest etc.) as compared to new tax regime. You should file your ITR accordingly.

I've completed my graduation (B.Sc) from Delhi University, however I've come to realise that my interest lies someplace else, I hold a passion and wish to persue masters in Psychology and be a clinical psychologist down the line, what should be my next steps? Am I eligible for a master's program in Psychology even though my undergrad is in Science? I got advance payment of 14L in march 2022 for the sale of land but registration of land happens in April 2022 . In e campaign 14L was marked as feedback required how should i file itr for it

Ans: 01. You should have filed your ITR for F/Y 2021-22, without declaring Rs.14.00 lakhs (received as advance), as Income for the year. Please ensure, that you don't claim TDS (if any deducted on this amount). Declare your total Income in F/Y 2022-23 ITR, working out Capital Gains clearly.

Hi, currently in Bangalore with a rental income of 75k and a salary of 25k. Living myself in a rented house of 15k, all expenses combined take away my total income. Have a loan of 10 lakh, on the rental income house and 5 lakh of loan from relatives. which I am finding it difficult to pay off. Hence, I am thinking of shifting to Mysore after selling the rental income house clear the loans and buy a rental income property in Mysore. Is it worth, please advise..

Ans: Your thinking needs re-consideration, due to following factors :
01. You have a monthly income of Rs.1,00,000.00. You should first pay your loan taken from the relatives, may be in installments, over a period of 1-2 years. Then, besides paying EMI on Bank Loan of Rs.10.00 lakhs, you should pay some extra amount to clear your loan as early as possible. You would be quite comfortable after payment of your loans.
02. You already have a rental income property, it won't be advisable to sell it & then find a rental income property in another city.
