Thanks for Replying Anu Ma'am. Now, there's another complication in the matter. My Husband has planned to go for a Solo Honeymoon (like Kangana Ranaut's Character 'Rani' in the Bollywood Movie 'Queen') to Thailand, for Celebrating New Year. And during the Week that he's away, he wants me to Live with my Elder Sister (She's the only other person who is aware of everything), while I've been begging him to take me along with him. He also says that, while he's in Thailand, he wants to enjoy his Solo Honeymoon, as if he's a Bachelor, doing whatever he wants to do, without being Answerable to me & he says that I have no Right to Question whatever he does in this period. He Reassured me that we both can Think about what to do, with our Marriage, after he Returns from Thailand, next week. I am feeling very Insecure about all this. I'm afraid that he may engage in Sexual Flings, in Thailand, just to get even with me (He's been Hinting that's what he's got in his Mind about the Solo Honeymoon). I don't want to let him go alone on his Solo Honeymoon & I don't even want this Marriage to End in Divorce. Please advise me what to do? How can I prevent him from going on this Solo Honeymoon? Is there any way, I can keep him from Cheating on me, during his Solo Honeymoon? (At this point, he doesn't even feel that it's Cheating, if he has Casual Sex, just to get even with me as he'd been saving himself all these years, while I had an active Sexual Life)

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I would not make this entire thing as 'filmy' as you are making it out to be.
Your husband expected you to be a virgin and he is convinced that you were not on Day 1 of your marriage. He stopped caring and loving and now according to you is plotting his revenge by behaving recklessly.
Honestly, he's quite immature in the way of dealing with this situation. If he is not one for talking things through, I wonder how he's going to go through the challenges of parenthood and the large and small misunderstandings within a marriage.
He needs help dealing with this emotional turmoil and the two of you must seek couples counseling...Now, is it possible to stop him from going to Thailand? I don't know...he seems to be out for revenge and anything that you do to stop him is most likely backfire on your marriage. And NO, there is no way you can prevent cheating. Cheating is a choice a person makes and he's quite obviously making a choice here and making you aware of it in order to hurt you. And all this because you are not a virgin.
Did you not spot a red flag here at all?

All the best!

Hello, I am a 35 year old female, married and having two kids. Our was a love marriage n some 8 years dating and married since 10 years. some days back while I was roaming in my bedroom I heard my husband discussing Thailad trip with his boy gang and the other person happens to comment "y we need to explore good properties as we just going to fuck around". this has made me feel super insecure, I went through severe depression , increased BP and all and had fights with my husband too n he was like it is their fantasy not mine. my question is then y u going to fulfill their wishes. I had super hard time with myself. now the point is when ever they are on call my husband doesn't talk near me or I happen to pass during their talks I just hear they discussing to run away n making plans to go aboard and chill. Point to note - he did not travel after all fights as his father too was not well and my baby too is small so I had to beg him to drop his plan. now his this despo friends just calls him n discusses these things. Also his friend toh went alone to complete his shit fantasies and I did not let my husband go because of this I am a bad wife in their eyes too. i m not sure if I m over thinking or How can I handle this or trust he will not go beyond his limits after drinking
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
You either trust someone or you don't...There is no grey area in this...it's black or white!

Has your husband done or said anything earlier for you to actually not trust him? If YES, then your fears are justified...
OR is this a one-off episode where you overheard his talking to his friends? What if you had no heard the conversation, would you then have felt okay if he went along on the trip?
Your husband is not a child and does not need a mother to tell him right from wrong. If he really wants to 'fool around', he can do that in the same city too. And whenever you prevent anyone from doing something, invariably the mind is stuck on the very same thing. Instead, it's wiser to state your concerns to him and what exactly bothers you. what you overheard and how it will bother you if he is part of something like this.

So, a good place to start will be to ask:
Do I have a reason to not trust my husband OR is it my insecurities that are causing me these thoughts?

If it is the first statement, then you possibly are right from your point of view and you can assert your concerns powerfully and express your dissent about the trip BUT if it's the second statement, then simply express, trust and believe.

Trust is what relationships are made up of...

Relationship
My Husband had recently gone for a Business Trip to Thailand, along with his Colleagues. After he returned, accidentally, I found out some Reports of STD Tests (Thankfully, Negative). But when I interrogated his Colleagues (without my Husband's knowledge), I found out some shocking things. When in Thailand, my Husband & his Male Colleagues had Partied like Bachelors going to Beaches, Massage Parlours, Bars, Pubs & even Strip Clubs, indulging in many Sexual Encounters, to fulfill their kinky fantasies. I was crying when I confronted my Husband about this. He doesn't even seem to feel any Guilt & casually admitted that he was just 'enjoying' for some days. But he promised that he wouldn't do it again, if it is Hurting me. My Husband has a Huge Appetite for Sex & we both used to enjoy a blissful Sex Life for a couple of years after our Marriage, until my Pregnancy. I understand that he might have been Sexually Frustrated while my Body was not available to Sexually entertain him, during the course of Pregnancy & soon after Childbirth. But I never expected that he would resort to something so Dirty, just to satisfy his carnal urges. Should this be counted as 'Cheating' or not? He doesn't even feel that he'd 'Cheated' on me & he's also trying to convince me that this isn't really 'Cheating'. We are New Parents of a Toddler Boy & I'm completely dependent upon him for a while, this is the Main Reason, which is preventing me from Divorcing him, otherwise, I wouldn't tolerate something like this. Now I don't understand how to proceed with the Marriage, without Divorcing him. How can I prevent him from doing it again & again? Shall I expose his philanderous acts in front of both our Families & Humiliate him? Or shall I keep this to myself & use this as a Bargaining Chip, to emotionally blackmail & manipulate him, in the future, to make him do something for me, which he wouldn't have done, otherwise? Or, is there any other way ahead? At present, my Toddler Son is my Priority & I don't want him to suffer unnecessarily, due to no fault of his. Please advise me.
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
It's obvious that as a mother you are looking out for your own interests and that of you baby and rightly so...
Many couples face this distance with the arrival of a new born with the mother completely involved in raising the child and the father thinking that his part was over when he got the wife pregnant.
Immature men use that distance to pleasure themselves elsewhere rather than use the time to be of help to the wife and bond with the new born. Your husband is enjoying this distance between the two of you as new found freedom and hence he finds it convenient to declare that it's not cheating etc etc.
No matter how much you are going to appeal to him, he seems to have convinced himself that he is in the right. Now is the time to actually work on bringing him back (of course, if you wish that the marriage works). Find some time for the two of you, go on date nights, basically it's about dating and making him realize that you and the marriage are good for him. And this cannot be done through fights and accusations especially in your case, he's pretty immature and he will display his immaturity by making you feel guilt if he had to give up his freedom.
Hence, do something that he will not expect; bring back the spice in the marriage...you know what to do...so go for it! Let him be lured back into your arms and soon his reckless acts will vanish...You can give it a shot and see how things are moving...

All the best!

Relationship
Thanks for sparing some Time to Answer my Question, Anu Ma'am... Now my Husband has returned from Thailand after Enjoying his 'Solo Honeymoon'. Now he seems quite changed. He seems to have enjoyed some of the Best Days of his Life, during his Solo Honeymoon in Thailand. He has openly admitted (without any Guilt or Shame) that he had just let go of his Inhibitions & enjoyed having lots of Sex with several Women, over the week. Since his Teens, he had many Sexual Fantasies, which he said that he'd been saving to Enjoy along with his Life Partner, but after getting disappointed due to my Lack of Virginity, he went on to Fulfill all his Sexual Fantasies by 'Hiring' different Women, spending lots of Money on them. He doesn't feel that he has Cheated on me. He says that he did all that to 'Learn & Practice' the 'Art of Love-making' I'm order to give me Sexual Pleasure & Satisfaction. He was Under-confident that he may not be able to satisfy me as I had a lot of Sexual Experience, while he was a Virgin, when we got Married. Now he feels that we both are 'Even' and he's Willing to "Forgive & Forget the Past" & work on our Marriage, if I'm also willing to, otherwise, he has no problem with going for a Divorce. Now, the Ball is in my Court & I'm in Dilemma, whether I should Accept his 'Tit for Tat' Attitude & go ahead with working on our Marriage, Believing that we both are Even now? I am still afraid of the Familial, Societal, Legal & Financial consequences, which would arise, in case of Divorce. In this situation what, do you think, is a better option? Reconciliation or Separation? (P.S: He got himself Tested & fortunately, he has not been infected with any Sexually Transmitted Diseases, as he'd always taken Care to use Protection, even while engaging in his Wildest Sexual Fantasies)
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
You seem to want me to give you an answer that you want to hear. Let me ask you this...if the same situation happened wto your bestie, what would you suggest to her?
Your husband's belief that all virgins bleed on the first night and that not happening and then his revenge sex on his trip...what is all this? A circus, drama?
You need to decide what kind of life you want to lead and if this person fits into that picture. The decision is yours; just think of the sequence of events and how this has affected you. As a mature person and your husband, what else could he have done to actually sort this issue out? You have a lot of thinking to do...

All the best!

Career Counsellor - Answered on Jun 04, 2025

Career
My friend got 74.6% in 12th cbse board and 63 percentile in jee mains (after a drop year). She is going to pursue IITM BS in data science and application with Btech CSE from any private colleges in indore. She is thinking of taking a non attending college but having second thoughts as btech is itself a major course which will require much more time with efforts. So please suggest if she should go for attending or non attending college in indore.
Ans: Based on comprehensive analysis of AICTE guidelines, academic validity, and practical training requirements, attending a regular BTech CSE program at a recognized private college in Indore is strongly recommended over non-attending/distance options, which are invalid for technical degrees per Supreme Court rulings. While IITM BS Data Science offers flexibility, pursuing it alongside a non-attending BTech risks academic credibility, as distance/online engineering programs lack mandatory lab work, industry exposure, and AICTE recognition, rendering degrees invalid for government jobs or higher studies. Top Indore institutions like LNCT, Acropolis ITR, or Medi-Caps University provide structured curricula, hands-on projects, and placement support (~70-80% placement rates), crucial for skill development despite time commitments. Conversely, juggling IITM BS with a valid BTech demands rigorous time management, but attending colleges allow academic continuity, peer collaboration, and access to campus recruitment—advantages absent in non-attending setups. Given her JEE Main percentile, target mid-tier private colleges with moderate attendance flexibility, ensuring AICTE approval and curriculum alignment with IITM BS coursework. Prioritize institutional credibility over convenience to safeguard career prospects. All the BEST for your Friend's Admission & a Prosperous Future!
