Hi sir, I transfered 3 lakhs to my friend in 2023 as loan through bank transfer. If he repay that without any interest in 2024, should I work income tax?

Ans: Hi,
If no income in transaction than there will be no income tax, as in your case no interest so no income tax leviable.

Ans: Hi if you are giving him money by bank transfer and getting it back the same way, then it's loan given and loan repaid to you, entry gets closed. But in case there is some extra amount as interest received by you then only only interest is taxable

I would like to provide a interest free loan to my friend of 5 lakhs since he needs to fund his child's education. The loan period could go beyond 5 years, in case he is not able to back soon. Will there be any tax implication to me or my friend. I will be doing a bank transfer.

Ans: Amount received from friend as loan and not repaid can be considered as gift. Further, gift received from friend without any occasion can be taxable.

Ans: You should get the amount back through banking channel only. You would have to pay any tax on it, since this is not your income, but just return of temporary loan without interest, to your friend.
