Hi Dear, I have purchased a duplex house recently for Rs.73 lacs. I have taken loan of Rs.43.20 lacs from SBI @ 9.6% which is higher and monthly installment is of Rs.36,700. I have FDR of Rs.20 lacs which are maturing in July 2024. I have query - should I renew FDRs with Bank and continue to pay installments of bank loan or on maturity of FDRs i should pay Rs.20 lacs for the loan or invest in mutual funds. Kindly suggest me better way. My monthly income is around Rs.1 lac.

Hello Sir, I lost my job in layoff . I am 46 year old . I had a home loan of 1.18 cr with EMI of 1.07L per month . I have 2 kids, Daughter is in 12th and Son is in 9th . I am selling my other 2 flats so that i can repay the loan and left money i will put in FD. I have to plan my children education 60 L and Retirement planning ( Next Month onwards i require 1 L ). After paying home loan I left with 70 L which i will put in FD . I have 70 L in EPF, 30 L in PPF maturity in 2026, 19 L FD, 3.3 L NSC ( Maturity at 2032/ 6.6L), 14 L Mutual Fund. My wife earns 50 K per month . Monthy expenses are 75K . My goals of havinng 1 L from next month and kids education can be achieved with these investment .

Hi Mam, I need your prompt advice as i need to take decision on the same. I am 55 years and have 5-6 Years in retirement. Post retirement have planning and secure. Now coming to the point that i am staying a capital of state where i pay house rent Rs.40000/- PM. My take homme monthly salary is approx 6 Lacs. My organization have policy to pay 50% interest subsidy on interest of Housing loan. I am planning to purchase a flat value 1.25 Cr in which 80 Lacs Banks are ready to give for next 12 Years . monthly EMI will be 85-90 K and out of which approx 28K will be subsidy and 40K my rent and 5K saving of IT in Housing loan interest . Ideally it will cost to me approx. 15-20 K Per month additionally . After retirement i will sell the flat and square off my balance home loan. Please suggest is it worth of taking ....or i should continue to pay House rent and add 20 K liability in Mutual Fund contribution . Urgent reply please

His eagerness to sleep early might be owing to tiredness or having to wake up early.
Having said that, if you think there is some other reason, you can always ask him directly. Coming to his rudeness- while I do not support misbehavior in any condition, there still might be reasons like office pressure or family pressure and more. In no way am I excusing his behavior- what I am saying is to talk to him about it. Let him know that his behavior is hurting you and you would like to know the reason behind it.

I can't tell you for sure if he is taking you for granted, or has stopped caring for you, but a direct and open discussion with him can certainly offer you some clarity on it.
