Ans: Hello, there is no reason to limit yourself in terms of the duration of the sip. You can start it and continue till the time you are having an active income. Incase you don't have an active income, you can always Stop, Pause your sip's.
In terms of the fund selection, you can have an allocation with the following %
Mid cap - 20%
Small cap - 20%
Large and mid cap - 15%
Consumption fund - 10%
Value fund - 10%
Multi cap fund - 15%
Any personal choice - 10%
