I have a PF account pre-UAN and the transfer to the current account with UAN needs either the previous employer to approve or the current employer can approve. In my case the previous company closed its operations in India and have no one here, and I do not have a present employment too. So what's the remedy for me to claim my earlier PF?

Ans: Hello;

Your case is peculiar therefore I recommend you to personally visit the EPFO office where your old EPF account is held and talk to the officials about your situation.

They may offer you a solution for sure, else you may raise a grievance in EPFiGMS portal regarding your concern.

Worked from 1991 to 2013 in Pharma company & having pf account, don't have UAN as that system is made after I left. Then I worked in different companies in different states & having UAN available. Now I am 59 yrs and want to link all the accounts so that I can get good pension. My employer requested pf office to get UAN for me but not received till date (almost 1 yrs). What should I do? Please suggest or give your contact for consultation.

I am not able to get UAN for my pf account (worked in company 1991 to 2013). Employer requested to pf office 1year back.

Ans: You can decide on the following course of action:

1. You can contact the Grievance Redressal Officer at your regional EPFO office. You can also file a grievance with the EPFO's adalat, which is a grievance redressal forum.

2. You can file a Right to Information (RTI) to get clarity on the reason for the delay.

3. You can serve a legal notice to the EPFO for harassment and delay.

4. You can file a grievance with the Prime Minister's Office via the Centralised Public Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).

But make doubly sure that their is no error on your or the employer's side.

I had worked in a Company before UAN came into force in 2008. I have the previous PF Number and the Old Salary Slip which mentions PF deducted. The Organisation that I used to work with is no more and the Firm has been closed. How and where can I get my previous contribution added to my new PF UAN account? Please guide process wise further.

Ans: Step 1: The first step in EPF Account Transfer without your employer’s approval is to activate your UAN by visiting the EPFO portal and entering your personal and employment details.

Step 2: You also need to link your Aadhaar and PAN with your UAN to verify your identity and streamline the transfer process.

Step 3: Next, you need to fill out Form 13 (Revised) and submit it to your current employer. In the form, you need to provide details such as your UAN, previous employer’s details, and the amount to be transferred.

Step 4: EPFO will verify the details provided in Form 13 and initiate the transfer process without requiring approval from your previous employer.

Step 5: Once the EPFO completes the verification process, the funds from your previous EPF account will be transferred to your new EPF account.

I am 64 years old and previously worked at Observar India Ltd. for over 15 years. However, the organization shut down many years ago, and I do not have the UAN (Universal Account Number) or PF (Provident Fund) number associated with my employment during that period. After my tenure at Observar India Ltd., I began working with Viacom18, where I am currently employed, and I have all the necessary details of my present PF account. I would like to know the process for retrieving or transferring the PF funds accumulated during my time at Observar India Ltd. to my current PF account. Considering that the company no longer exists and I lack the old PF details, what steps can I take to initiate the process? Additionally, what documents or records will be required to locate and claim the funds from my previous employment? Any guidance on dealing with such situations where the employer is no longer operational would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't remember your EPF account number and your employer is closed, you can try these options:

1. Check your salary slip: Employers usually include the PF account number on the employee's salary slip.

2. Visit the EPFO office: You can visit the EPFO office with your identity proof and application form to get your PF number.

3.Call the EPFO helpline: You can call the EPFO helpline for information and to track past accounts.

4.Go to the EPFO website: You can fill out some basic information on the EPFO website to locate your dormant account.

Once you get the pf account number you may proceed for offline or online withdrawal of the same.

i have 2 UAN number 1 UAN served 8 years and 2nd UAN which is active from 8 years. Accidentally i ended up withdrawing pension when i left org where 1 UAN was there after transferring my PF to 2nd company where new UAN was created . Now state is PF is transferred to 2nd company with UAN1 and pension is withdrawn. Now further i am unable to transfer my pf from 2nd company to third where as both PF accounts are under UAN2. My pf transfer always gets rejected saying i need to transfer my pension first , where as pension is withdrawn. when i met PF office i am not getting any useful help to move further

Sir, i had given PCB 12th board exam in 2023 and passed it. Later i joined a BPT course but didn't find any interest in it. I gave math isolate board exam this year in 2025. I want to do civil engineering. How shall i fill the application for CAP rounds conducted by CET cell or Direct second year diploma (dsd25)?

Since you did not appear for MHT-CET, you can't apply for CAP rounds. It would be better to go for the 2nd-year diploma. After completing the diploma, you can take admission to the B.E. (Civil) course.

Ans: Participate in the CAP rounds. You have opportunities to get into a reputed college in the Civil branch. Take the help of any local counselor if you are unable to choose the options in a proper way. But it is not too difficult. You can do it yourself, also.

I had taken admission in Allen Amritsar, but now I am deciding to shift to Allenn Kota reason being almost 3 hours of travelling daily and in search of a better environment for serious study and I have 2 options now, either I can choose a batch that is already going on like which I was studying here. I would continue studying there or the second option I have is I can take a newly started batch there so that I will be I will be ahead of everyone in the batch and I will be able to cover some extra books since I've already completed, the allen modules and I'll ahead of batch. Regularly participate in online tests conducted on various platforms. Be confident in yourself. Talk less and concentrate more on studies. Use scientific methods to crack the examination. Ans: Hello Tanmay, the chances with the mentioned branches seem to be challenging, except for the mechatronics branch. Try with Thodomal and Vivekanand with higher hopes. For AI, ML, and DS, consider tier 2 colleges. As much as possible, drop the idea of Marine Engineering.
