Hello Sir, I have started MFs investment recently from last year have low budget. I have started with 1. Quant ELSS Tax saver direct growth (Rs500) 2. SBI small cap fund direct growth (Rs600) 3. ICICI Prudential commodities Fund direct growth (Rs500) 4. Nippon india small cap fund direct growth (Rs500) 5. Quant Small cap fund direct plan growth (Rs1000) I would like to know whether its good to invest in these MFs for longer period 15-20 years. I'll add another 3-4K in the future but for now it'll be the same. Please guide me as I have low budget

My son wants to do a program in undergrad in USA combining computer science and designing . What kind of majors he can choose, what are good universities for these programs .

Ans: I suggest you not to send him for under-graduate programme to USA. Let him be admitted to some reputed college/university of India for Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engg and let him go for f post-graduation ( i.e. MS from USA which is called graduation in USA). For Computer Engg one of the very good Universities is Georgia Tech, apart from that Texas A & M is there. Stanford and MIT are exceptionally good but for that his academic track record and GRE score have to be excellent.

I am 50 years old. Having a housing loan with 16500 emi for another 13 years. Also I am having a cc loan for which I am paying 5000 p.m. interest. I have a son studing in 11 th science. My monthly household expenses are 12500. My income is 35000 p.m. Please guide me so that I can retire at age 60 with atleast some Pride.

Ans: Hi..please pay off your loans as soon as possible. Especially credit card loan. Your debt service to income ratio should never exceed 35% of your income. In your case it is 61.43% which is extremely high. You may consider refinancing your loan or arrange for any additional income source.

Good evening Doctor my mother is 65 years old and her creatinine level is 6.8 now. We diagnosed the issue in 2016 when her creatinine was 3. Kindly advise what steps she needs to take in order to reduce her creatinine levels. She doesn’t have BP and Sugar

Ans: Please get comprehensive KFT with eGFR done.
It will be important to understand the cause of sudden rise in creatinine levels. Diabetes and other conditions also need to be ruled out.

Once these are available, consult a physician or nephrologist.

I was treated for chiken gunya fever 2 months back. Since then though there is no fever I am have ng severe joint pains. Particularly in both wrists and fingers and both ankle joints and toes. I am unable to practice my daily yoga and walking too .I am 70 years. No BP or diabetes. Thank you KLNarasimham Visakhapatnam

Ans: Chikungunya pain usually persist for many weeks.
Can you please get Uric acid and other lab tests such as serum calcium and KFT done. While you do not have any diagnosed condition, it is better to rule out any other condition which may exist.
