Gud Afternun Ulhas, I have a question regarding the choices of my 5 selected mutual funds. I have filtered them out considering diversification of scheme type , across AMCs & their performances in the long term. They are - Mirae Large cap fund, Nippon India multicap, HDFC flexicap, Kotak BAF and Quant small cap. Please suggest if they are okay for 15 years timefrae. I plans to 40k per month split into SIPs of these funds. Kindly suggest right percentage that I can consider allocating to each scheme type. Thank you.

Ans: Hello and thanks for writing to me. As you mention that your timeframe is 15 years, I am assuming that you do not require funds in the 15-year time period.

If this is the case, you can consider investing in a pure equity fund instead of a balanced advantage fund. Balanced advantage funds invest in a mix of debt and equity and as such can deliver returns less than pure equity funds. As your investment horizon is long at 15 years, you can consider starting an SIP in Kotak Emerging Equity or another mid cap fund.

Ans: Hello Gamathi, chances with CSE seem challenging, but you can try EEE or ECE. For CSE, consider management quota or other colleges with lower cutoff.

Ans: Hello dear. Both options are strong. CSE and ENC have different goals and opportunities. Respect your interests with priority. Considering the recent trend, students prefer CSE. Hence, if possible, choose CSE @ Manipal. The final decision will be yours.

Sir I got 89.98 tile in mht cet and I from maharashtra i want admission in vjti, ict, thadomal, vivekenda institute of tech , thakur, in branches like ai and ml/ds , robotics, marine engineering, mechatronics etc.

Ans: Hello Tanmay, the chances with the mentioned branches seem to be challenging, except for the mechatronics branch. Try with Thodomal and Vivekanand with higher hopes. For AI, ML, and DS, consider tier 2 colleges. As much as possible, drop the idea of Marine Engineering.

My son got CSE at kiits and Manipal Jaipur? Which college is better? My son got 12563 rank in comdek ? He need cse ,ECE which college he will get at Banglore?

Ans: Hello dear. Prefer CSE @ Manipal Jaipur. With the COMDEK score, his chances of getting into ECE are in mid-tier colleges (Bangalore). But if he has a good option like Manipal Jaipur, then it is better to stop searching and put an end to the dilemma.

My son has secured 97.75 percentile in MHT CET 2025. Our preference for branches are CSE, IT or Chemical. Which are the best colleges for this marks please suggest.

Ans: Hello dear.
With the mentioned score, your son has strong chances to get into tier 1 colleges either in Pune or Mumbai. Chemical engineers tend to prefer colleges in Mumbai and Nagpur. For CSE, consider applying to COEP, PICT, VJTI, SPTI, and other equivalent colleges.
