NIT.

Why you say for nit but pec has better placement than nit
Ans: Hi Gaurav,

Please do not compare government institutions with private institutions.
Government institutions cannot provide forged or fake information, whereas this may occur in private colleges. Private institutions often advertise that they achieve 100% placement every year, but if you analyze this claim, you will see it is usually not accurate.

Logically, at least 15-25% of students prefer to pursue postgraduate studies, which means they are not seeking immediate placement. The success of the remaining 75-85% in securing jobs depends on individual student performance. If any student has shortcomings, they risk not being selected for a role.

Sometimes, institutions announce that a student received a high salary offer, such as 50LPA lakh per annum or EVEN 1 CRORE/YEAR. However, if the quality of the institution is based on student performance, we would expect companies to return for recruitment every year with increasing salary offers. Yet, this does not typically happen.

This situation reflects the reality of many private institutions. That’s why regulators are now asking for identification cards ( FROM THE RECRUITER, NOT OFFER LETTER) from students placed through college placement cells . Therefore, it is not appropriate to compare government and private institutions, especially when contrasting them with prestigious institutions like NIT.

Please refrain from making such comparisons.
BEST WISHES.

Sir I think Pec chandigarh is government institution
Ans: Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University) (PEC) having its roots in Lahore as Mugalpura Engineering College since 1921, moved to its present campus in 1953 as PEC affiliated to Panjab University. The institute became a Deemed University in 2003 through a MHRD notification and was rechristened as PEC University of Technology in 2009. Also, funding is provided by the government. But you cannot expect as like national institute.
In this context, i have considered as private.
