My wife is 35 years old and she is having varicose veins in both legs. Can she pregnant with varicose veins. Kindly suggest in this regard. Thanks

Ans: "Yes, it is possible for having children and getting pregnant with varicose veins to be very costly. During pregnancy, it's important to be careful, stay active, and wear stockings to ensure that the varicose veins don't worsen. However, there is no contraindication for having a pregnancy with varicosity if your wife is 35. It's important to ensure the chromosomal or carrier health of the baby. For this reason, your wife's pregnancy should be carried out under the supervision of a gynecologist, and appropriate testing should be done during the first and second trimesters."

Ans: There could be many reasons for varicose veins, a common one being lack of exercise with long standing hours or sitting in one position for long. To improve circulation one must keep weight in control, regulate diet (especially control salt intake) and practice Yogasanas like - Paschimottanasana (sitting), Tadasana, leg raises and eventually try Pawanmuktasana. All under proper guidance of a teacher. Massages can also improve circulation and reduce pain. You can go for light walks but no running, and don't wear tight clothes.
