I have pain in shoulders and neck with stiffness. Doctor said it is due to degeneration and connected to nerves running from behind ears. He said not to massage neck and shoulder. Why is it so?

Ans: Please listen to your doctor. A massage must have aggrevated the tightness and it’s best to allow it to relax

Dr Nidhi, What could I do so that I have an increased chance of solving my neck pain issue with a physiotherapist?

Ans: Dear Anonymous,
It is important to identify the right physiotherapist-mainly someone who does not use only machines but also manual therapy for treatment.
Manual therapy can consist of techniques like mobilization of neck bones, neck muscles release through myofascial release, cupping, IASTM or dry needling and certain exercises.
Once the physiotherapist has diagnosed the cause of your neck pain there are higher chances of your neck issue to be resolved.

i have severe pain in shoulder and hand. the pain stays for long though intensity varies. My MRI showed disc procession at C5 and C4 to some extent. Doctor gave me nerve root block injetion. Pain reduce for 10 days but its back. Right now I am taking lyrica 75mg at night and SoS is flexura D.. Physiotherapy also not elping me... I am 47.

Ans: Hello Anonymous,
For disc issues there is a treatment called the Mckenzie treatment. Please check for a physiotherapist certified in The McKenzie treatment and someone who does dry needling and myofascia release.

Hi sir, I am 55 Years, I am getting neck pain since 6 months. I am also having Nerve pain in Right Hand from shoulder to wrist. I have consulted Neuro Surgeon and advised medicine KETO FLAM - P and HAPPY NERVE LC. I have used for one month. When i work on computer the pain will increase. Shall i use the above medicines further or shall i consult any physiotherapy. please suggest

Ans: Hello. I think you should get an MRI of the cervical spine and then go for physiotherapy within safe limits. All the best.

Hello Sir / Madam ! My Name is Gaurav and my Age is 38 Yrs. I am a patient of Hypertension & Type -2 diabetes . Recently I hv started feeling my nerves were streching and it was ver difficult to drive or even walk . The Ortho Surgeon asked to do an MRI Soine and reports suggested I am having Nerve compression in L4 , L5 position He just prescribed 1 week medicine and No Physiotherapy. Pls suggest what shoul I do as I am not finding improvement in a big way.

Ans: Hi Gaurav, get your Vit b-12 levels checked and get yourself physiotherapy treatment for the nerve compression. Meanwhile keeping your sugar levels in control will help in healing faster

Hello sir this is Nishat , I passed my 12th in the year 2023 with a good percentage but however I couldn’t see it for chemistry exam. So obviously I failed in that subject so I decided to again reappear for that exam and in 2024 I gave betterment exam from my state board in the subject biology and chemistry. However I scored far better in biology than last time but (Chemistry) I don’t know maybe it’s it’s because of the issues that we have with our board. I couldn’t score good marks so even I had decided to give (Chemistry) separately and so in 2024. I again set for (Chemistry) exam under nios I and I scored 80 so now the thing is that I’ll be having two mark sheet so while applying in need I cannot possibly select the code 2 because although I already have the state board certificate but the NIOS certificate is not yet out and it will be out by end of the March sir can I possibly select the code one that is appearing or will it create problems while counselling or is there any other option please help me out sir , I’m very desperate like I have prepared for neey for the last two years and I don’t want to put my hard work into vain. Please Sir help me out

Please select code 1 without any fear. Focus more on your study. But considering your fear and anxiety with the chemistry subject, it is recommended that you choose other options than NEET. This time you appear without any fear.
