Nnamaste Dr. My random sugar came 190. Then got done fasting: 120, then PP:145, Hb1ac: 5.4. Am i a diabetic. Pl advice Thanks

Ans: These fasting and PP readings are pointing towards a pre-diabetic like situation. However, the HbA1c is within normal range, which indicates that your sugar excursions might be recent and temporary phenomenon.
Please reduce your carbohydrate intake. If you are overweight, reduce weight. adopt a healthy eating habit and 30 min of walk every day.

Keep a track of your blood sugar levels. After 3 months, get blood sugar, Fasting, 2 hr after meal and HbA1c repeated. You might need an Oral Glucose Tolerance test to get confirmation of condition.

As of now, nothing much to worry and a healthy lifestyle benefit everyone.

Ensure you have sufficient daily vitamin C, D and B12 intake.

Ans: An HbA1c of 6.4 is indicative of pre-diabetes. To control spikes of blood sugar levels lifestyle modifications are necessary. Consume a balanced diet that includes complex carbohydrates and high-fiber foods like whole grains, oats, dahlia, fruits, and vegetable. Focus on foods with a low glycemic index which will prevent rapid spikes and crashes in blood sugar levels. Avoid sugary foods and processed simple carbohydrates (such as white bread or white pasta), chocolates, fast foods, etc., especially on an empty stomach. Include good quality protein foods in every meal. Engage in regular physical activity, as exercise can help regulate blood sugar levels.

Ans: Depends on which college you have done your MBA from. If you have done it from top college then salary could go to Rs. 30+ lpa. But if you have done from tier 3 institute then salary could be Rs. 5 to 7 lpa.

What are the other good options in India for students who have taken PCM with biology other than NEET? Please suggest the best courses with the institute name in India?

Ans: The candidate can do courses in Microbiology or Pharmacy. Good Pharmacists are in tremendous demand, MBBS is not the only line. Another stream is Biotechnology, apart from that Bioinformatics is there. Some more very specialized streams are genetics, biostatistics, molecular biology. Institute names I won't recommend. Ans: If you are interested in RnD then continue with your plan. If you do well you should land up with good openings. Need not worry about jobs with reference as there will be lot of vacancies that will be available.
