Hi, I am a male 60 years of age. HTN,Hypothyroidism,Diabetic..I am on TELMA AM 40/5, DAPANORM Trio 50.My latest TSH level was 7.776 while I was on Eltroxin 100. As I consulted my physician two weeks back he advised me to continue with same dose of Eltroxin 100. Is it OK?

Ans: I am not sure what is teh rationale your physician has used.
However, you may benefit by taking 100mcg for five days (Monday to Friday) a week and 150 mcg saturday and sundays.

I had been detected with TSH since 5 years and have been advised Eltroxcin 50 and now since past few months Dr increased the dose to 62.5 and though it's under control, Can I stop the medicine and what will be it's after effects??? I had been operated for Heart Byepass surgery around 8.5 years ago. Also my right thigh sometimes starts aching....

Ans: Thyroxine replacement need to be titrated and monitored. One cannot start and stop abruptly.
Kindly follow up with your Physician who has started your treatment.

I was detected with Thyroid 4-5 years ago and was prescribed Eltrocxin 50 and later with 62.5 mg but with medications it's under control, should i stop the medication? Also I had heart byepass surgery nine years ago but thankfully everything is under control. Can I stop Eltrocxin and what will be the repercussions??

Ans: You need to take Eltroxin for life. Your thyroid symptoms will recur if you stop the tablet.

Hello Ma'm, I am 53/M, my thyroid report in march-22 was T3-0.38, T4-1.2 &TSH 130.48. Started taking Eltroxin 50 (not regularly) then in March-23, T3-0.71, T4-2.7 & TSH was 21.89. After continuing Eltroxin 50 regularly, in August-23 , T3-O.6, T4-3.8 & TSH is 6.008. If this dose is sufficient? Thanks in advance

I have taken a policy from SBI Life insurance Retire Smart plan. The policy is for 10 years with a premium payment for 5 years. I have taken the policy in February 2020 and with this month 5 yearsare completed. Now, I want to come out of this. How can I come out with minimum loss.? Can I surrender or close?

Ans: Hello;

Even if you surrender now you can get 60% of your fund value, after deducting charges, and for the balance 40% you have buy an annuity from SBI Life.

This is as per terms and conditions mentioned in the brochure of this plan.

With 97.7 %tile, under OBC-NCL, female category, she may get admission in one of the NITs but not surely in Trichy. You may have to compromise the NIT and branch.

For the All India Quota (AIQ) in NEET, only the central OBC-NCL list is considered. If your OBC-NCL certificate is from your state but your caste is not in the central OBC list, then it will not be valid for AIQ reservations. If your caste is in both the state and central OBC lists, apply for a central OBC-NCL certificate to use it for AIQ in NEET.
