Preparation alone is not enough; you have to continuously work on testing and improving weak areas. This year's admissions were very tough. If you are repeating, you must solve at least 1 paper daily and check your score. Avoid negative markings.

I think you are demotivating me that I can't crack JEE advanced. Everyone is not from rich background. I am from poor background. I am from a small village and I couldn't get good facilities still I am preparing for JEE advanced and I have believe on myself that I will crack JEE advanced if IITs will give extra attempt. I think you won't understand my condition. Sorry I asked my query thinking that you will help me or motivate me but you are demotivating me that you should not criticize the decisions taken by authorities. Atleast you should not demotivate me if you don't want to reply my query I have no issues but atleast don't do my morale down.

First, you cool down. I have not demotivated you. I just suggested to focus on your studies and try to crack first JEE (Main) and then JEE (Adv). Without any reason, why you are focussing & wasting your precise time on the number of attempts at this stage? For your information, the decisions taken by IIT institutions are not interfered with by the Govt also. This is an independent body. Hence they are supreme in deciding about the number of attempts to be given to the students. But if someone is not satisfied with the decisions, he is free to knock on the doors of Hon Court. Once again, I politely suggest you focus on your upcoming examination only. After the results, decide what options are left for you.

I closed my EPFO account when I left my job in 2020 after which I rejoined the same school after 3 years, my contract stated that I would get the EPF but no money was deducted nor did i get the employers contribution. As of now I have opt for Old tax regime.. With my income of 11.89 LPA , can you please suggest which regime is good ,, Old or the new .. Also guide on tax saving components for the respective option

Ans: If you are going for Old Tax Regime then following options for reduction in Tax outgo
1. Standard Deduction on salary
2. HRA
3. NPS contribution from Salary
4. Investments under 80 C i.e. Life Insurance, Tax saving MF, 5 yr FD
5. Mediclaim 80D
6. Voluntary Payment of NPS upto Rs.50000
7. If you have home loan then Home loan Principal can be claimed under 80C and Interest under House Property
8. Interest on Savings Account upto Rs.10000
Based on these deduction, you need to calculate total deduction and tax liability. If the Income after deduction goes below Rs.5 Lakhs, No tax liability for you

Ans: No tax upto 12 Lakhs is for those who opt New Regime. For Old regime and Income above 12 Lakhs, the tax slabs and rate are applicable

My wife received Rs 25.0 lakhs as her share. Is my wife need to pay capital gains tax for her share of receipt.

Ans: Capital Gain Liability needs to be calculated for your mother in law. The amount received to your wife is gift and a gift deed needs to be executed

Hello sir, I want a health insurance which covers my wife's delivery cost, and if any complications occurred or my baby is pre delivered in 7 months, insurance to cover the baby NICU fees which may go upto 30 Lakhs for 3 months.

Ans: Hello;

Many health insurance companies offer coverage of maternity expenses in their plans, however you need to look out for:

1. Wating period ranging from 1 to 2 years. Maybe higher if spouse has some previous ailments like hypertension, diabetes etc and also if spouse age is higher.

Some companies may warrant a prior health check up before underwriting.

2. Sub-limits on coverage. For eg some companies offer limited neo-natal coverage.

3. List of network hospitals for cashless claim. Also need to avoid blacklisted hospitals.

4. Do your own study and also seek help from an insurance advisor.

Apart from private insurers do take a look at the offerings by Govt general insurance companies too.
