I had anterolisthesis L5-S1 in Jan'20. Now I am doing normal physiotherapy exercises and 10k walking daily. Before this I was able to do 40 suryanamaskar. Now not allowed. Please advice more heavy and hard exercise, Can I perform the dumbbells exercises?

Ans: Hi

Please do not opt for heavier exercises unless your core is strong enough. Work on your core strength and only then gradually increase exercises

Ans: As you have not mentioned your age, gender, etc. I can only advise to start with daily walks (15 minutes gradually going up to 45 minutes). You can also start with light pranayams - like deep breathing and anulom vilom for 5-10 minutes. Amongst exercises, Yog is the safest form, under a trained and experienced professional. I strongly advising asking your trainer about their qualifications and experience especially with your medical background.

Yes, you can go to the gym to build strength. Work on your core muscles well before lifting too much

Hello Dr Nidhi, Dr Shakib and Dr shreya Had an accident 1.5 yrs back. I had a small fracture with z bone where legaments attached on backside of knee.Also i had dislocation of 5mm of leg below knee. I was treated with belt for whole leg PTS brace for 4 weeks then PCL/CI Brace for next 3 weeks alongwith gradual physiotheropy at home. But unfortunayely my legaments could not get strenth and I cannot walk as normal before. I have pains. I did Physiotheropy exercizes but could not do gym exercizes. I have kidney function issues creatnine 1.5 and protien 2 plus So I took ayurvedic medicines as was already taking for kidney issue. Also I am a vegetarian. I am really under tension as I cannot walk with normal speed as wrll as for long distance and perform other routine duties. Even my left knee has also giving pains since last 2 month and my low waist is also giving me much pain since last three months. Not done any exercise in last month. Pleasd give me proper guidance to recover. Thanks

For how long did you do the physiotherapy? Are you still continuing with the physiotherapy?
Have you done recent MRI?
Aqua-therapy which means doing exercises in water can help heal the knee very well. If possible for you please ask a certified aqua-physiotherapist or go to a center that has aqua-therapy and do exercises there in their pool. This will help you in developing proprioception which will strengthen the muscles around the knee very well. Also your core muscles need to be worked on.
Also please go to a good sports physio or a physio who does myofascial release. You may need therapies like cupping, dry needling, myofascial release rather than only conventional physio. That can help your waist pain and knee.

Hello sir this is Nishat , I passed my 12th in the year 2023 with a good percentage but however I couldn’t see it for chemistry exam. So obviously I failed in that subject so I decided to again reappear for that exam and in 2024 I gave betterment exam from my state board in the subject biology and chemistry. However I scored far better in biology than last time but (Chemistry) I don’t know maybe it’s it’s because of the issues that we have with our board. I couldn’t score good marks so even I had decided to give (Chemistry) separately and so in 2024. I again set for (Chemistry) exam under nios I and I scored 80 so now the thing is that I’ll be having two mark sheet so while applying in need I cannot possibly select the code 2 because although I already have the state board certificate but the NIOS certificate is not yet out and it will be out by end of the March sir can I possibly select the code one that is appearing or will it create problems while counselling or is there any other option please help me out sir , I’m very desperate like I have prepared for neey for the last two years and I don’t want to put my hard work into vain. Please Sir help me out

Please select code 1 without any fear. Focus more on your study. But considering your fear and anxiety with the chemistry subject, it is recommended that you choose other options than NEET. This time you appear without any fear.
