Dr , I am 53 yrs old and using only my left Jaws maximum for chewing/crushing food items , Is it better to use both sides for future .continue with same side .

Ans: Hello Mahesh,
It is absolutely essential to chew on both sides. If you use only one side to masticate you are subjecting the teeth and muscles of that one side to undue pressure. It could lead to pain in the jaw muscles or joint.
If something is preventing you from biting on the other side kindly consult your dentist and get corrective treatment.
