Dear Dr, I am 41.and having irregular menstrual on and off for past 4 years. whenever I consult gynaecologist they scan and say everything fine and give combined pill for 6 months and my regular periods are back. This is now for 3 years... I am worried about taking combined pill on and off... My gynaecologist is of opinion this irregular menstruation may last till menopause... Is there any way to avoid combined pill and to regulate periods naturally.

Ans: The best method to control irregular periods at age 41 is to take OC pills.
Long-term OC pills don't have negative side effects, but they do help prevent endometrial and ovarian cancers. In addition to ocpills, we may want to think about iuds that release progesterone, which can regulate menstrual blood flow and other issues. Natural methods 1) Modification of lifestyle (2) Restful sleep (3) Healthy eating that includes dry fruits, vegetables, eggs, chicken, and low fat and low carbs and high protein (4) Consistent yoga, meditation, and exercise (5) Managing stress

My son got 99.25 in MHTCET 3500 rank in COMEDK and has got CSE in ViT Vellore. What are his chances of getting CS in SPIT/PICT we are confused whether to leave CSE in Vellore or continue with it.
Ans: Shilpa Madam, With a 99.25 percentile in MHT CET and a 3500 rank in COMEDK, your son is well placed for top private and government colleges. For SPIT Mumbai, the CSE cutoff for Maharashtra home state candidates typically closes between 99.0–99.4 percentile, and for PICT Pune, CSE closes around 97.7–98.6 percentile. Your son’s percentile is above the PICT CSE cutoff and on par with SPIT’s lower range, making him a strong contender for CSE at PICT Pune and giving him a realistic chance at SPIT Mumbai, especially in the first or second CAP rounds. Both SPIT and PICT offer outstanding placements—SPIT has maintained 100% placement for four consecutive years with an average CTC of ?15 lakh and top recruiters like Meta, Amazon, and PhonePe, while PICT’s CSE placement rate is 80–84% with an average package of ?7–8 lakh and top IT recruiters like Microsoft, Infosys, and TCS. VIT Vellore CSE also boasts excellent placements, with a 95%+ placement rate, over 900 recruiters, and an average package of ?9–10 lakh. However, SPIT and PICT both have a strong reputation in Maharashtra, a robust alumni network, and are highly valued by recruiters in the Mumbai-Pune region, which can be advantageous for local internships and jobs. VIT Vellore, while nationally ranked and offering a vibrant campus life, is located outside Maharashtra and may not provide the same local industry connections.

The recommendation is to participate in MHT CET CAP rounds and prioritize SPIT Mumbai and PICT Pune for CSE, given your son’s strong percentile and the excellent placement and academic environment these colleges offer; retain VIT Vellore CSE as a backup, but do not leave it until a SPIT/PICT seat is confirmed. IMPORTANT: Please check the REFUND POLICY/Last Date if you withdraw the seat from VIT-V. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

I got 4390 rank in jee advanced and 8787 in jee mains, should I accept iiit bangalore cse btech, dtu cse,IIT roorkee chemical
Ans: DTU CSE, IIIT Bangalore CSE, and IIT Roorkee Chemical are all prestigious choices, but they differ significantly in branch and career trajectory. DTU CSE is highly sought after, with 90–100% placement, an average package of ?15.45 lakh, and top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, and JP Morgan, offering robust industry connections and a strong alumni network. IIIT Bangalore CSE is renowned for its research-driven curriculum, nearly 100% placement, and an average package of ?33.4 lakh in 2024, with leading tech recruiters and extensive opportunities in software, AI, and data science. IIT Roorkee Chemical Engineering is a top-ranked core branch with 70–80% placement, an average package of ?17.7–19.3 lakh, and a curriculum that includes data science and software electives, but it is less versatile than CSE for software roles. While IIT Roorkee offers the IIT brand and exposure, CSE from DTU or IIIT Bangalore provides broader and more lucrative career prospects in the current job market.

The recommendation is to prefer CSE at IIIT Bangalore for its exceptional placement record, industry-aligned curriculum, and leading-edge opportunities in technology, followed by CSE at DTU for its strong reputation and Delhi location; IIT Roorkee Chemical is best if your primary interest is in core engineering or research. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Career
My daughter has got admission in SRM Kattankulathur, Chennai, for Btech Biotechnology also she has got admission in KIIT bhuvneshwar in Btech +Mtech biotechnology Kindly suggest which one is best for her Regards
Ans: Sandeep Sir, SRM Kattankulathur’s BTech Biotechnology is a four-year program ranked #13 in NIRF Engineering 2024, with modern labs, experienced faculty, and a strong research focus. Placement rates vary, with 40–80% of students placed (depending on the batch), average packages around ?4–7 lakh, and many students pursuing higher studies or research. The campus offers excellent infrastructure, diverse student activities, and a large alumni network. KIIT Bhubaneswar’s integrated BTech+MTech Biotechnology is a five-year program with a curriculum emphasizing both core biotechnology and advanced research, state-of-the-art facilities, and regular industry interaction. KIIT’s School of Biotechnology reports 85–95% placement, an average package of ?8 lakh, and a highest offer of ?63 lakh, with a significant number of students opting for higher studies in India and abroad. KIIT is NAAC A++ accredited, ranked 16th among Indian universities, and known for its global exposure, strong industry partnerships, and a comprehensive support system for placements and research. Both universities offer excellent hostel, sports, and campus amenities, but KIIT’s integrated program provides a seamless path to a master’s degree, higher placement rates, and a more research-oriented environment.

The recommendation is to choose KIIT Bhubaneswar’s integrated BTech+MTech Biotechnology for its higher placement rates, advanced research exposure, and the advantage of graduating with a master’s degree, making it a stronger long-term option for a career in biotechnology. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

SGSITS INDORE, IET Davv or integrated MTech VIT Bhopal for CSE. Which is a good option.
Ans: SGSITS Indore and IET DAVV are both top government engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh, with strong reputations for CSE. SGSITS Indore’s CSE program sees 90% placement, a median package of ?7 LPA, and top recruiters like Mastercard, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs, with recent highest packages up to ?44.5 LPA and robust alumni support. IET DAVV also reports 90–100% placement for CSE/IT, an average package of ?6–8 LPA, and top recruiters such as TCS, Infosys, and Barclays. Both offer good infrastructure and experienced faculty, though SGSITS has a slightly higher placement average and more consistent placement record. VIT Bhopal’s Integrated MTech in CSE offers a modern curriculum, 90% placement rate, and a centralized placement system with top recruiters like Amazon, Microsoft, and Intel, but as a newer private university, it lacks the established alumni network and public sector reputation of SGSITS and IET DAVV. VIT Bhopal’s fees are higher, but it provides excellent research opportunities and industry exposure in emerging fields like AI and Data Science.

The recommendation is to prefer SGSITS Indore for CSE due to its superior placement consistency, strong public reputation, and value for money, followed by IET DAVV for similar reasons; VIT Bhopal’s Integrated MTech is a good choice if you seek a private university environment and a specialized, future-ready curriculum. Sir I got 90.72 percentile in mht cet pcm obc category so which college is best for me and which branch will be best for me with future aspect
Ans: Yash, With a 90.72 percentile in MHT CET (OBC category), you are unlikely to secure CSE or IT in top government colleges like COEP Pune, VJTI Mumbai, or PICT Pune, as their OBC cutoffs are above 98–99 percentile. However, you have good chances for CSE, IT, or allied branches in reputable private and mid-tier government colleges such as DY Patil College of Engineering Pune, MIT Academy of Engineering Pune, PCCOE Pune, JSPM Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering Pune, AISSMS College of Engineering Pune, and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Mumbai, where CSE/IT cutoffs for OBC hover around 90–95 percentile. For future prospects, Computer Science Engineering and IT remain the most in-demand branches, offering broad career opportunities in software, AI, data science, and cybersecurity, while Electronics and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are also strong options with diverse roles in industry and research.

The recommendation is to prioritize CSE or IT in DY Patil COE Pune, PCCOE Pune, MIT Academy of Engineering, or JSPM RSCOE for robust placements and future growth, and include ECE or Mechanical as alternatives in these or similar colleges to maximize your admission and career prospects at your percentile. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Which is better dronacharya clg of engineering gurgaon cse or jiit ece sector 62 or jiit vlsi , jiit is better then dronacharya as a clg but people say ece has no scope , pls tell which one to chose
Ans: Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) Noida is academically stronger and more established than Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon, with consistently higher placement rates and a better industry reputation. JIIT’s ECE branch achieved an 88–98% placement rate in 2024, with top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, and Accenture, and the VLSI specialization offers a modern, industry-aligned curriculum with hands-on experience, preparing graduates for roles in chip design, ASIC/FPGA development, and electronics R&D. Dronacharya’s CSE branch reports a 70–95% placement rate, average packages of ?5–8 lakh, and strong support for IT/software placements, but it lacks the national recognition and legacy of JIIT. While ECE and VLSI are sometimes perceived as less versatile than CSE, JIIT’s placement data shows robust opportunities for ECE/VLSI graduates, especially as the semiconductor and electronics sectors grow in India.

The recommendation is to prefer JIIT Noida (either ECE or VLSI) over Dronacharya CSE, as JIIT offers superior academic quality, higher placement rates, and better long-term career prospects, particularly if your interests include electronics, chip design, or interdisciplinary tech roles. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir, My son got 95 percentile in MH CET, got 1450 rank in NMIMS in phase 2 and 16000 rank in Manipal. There is a possibility that he might get Btech (CSE) MBA in NMIMS, CPS in Manipal in last round of counselling. Should we go ahead with NMIMS or wait for Manipal and MHCET registration to start. We reside in Mumbai.
Ans: Monika Madam, With a 95 percentile in MHT CET, 1450 rank in NMIMS (Phase 2), and 16,000 rank in Manipal, your son is likely to get BTech (CSE)+MBA at NMIMS Mumbai, and may secure Computer & Physical Sciences (CPS) or lower-demand CSE specializations at Manipal in the final rounds, though CSE core at MIT Manipal typically closes below 1,600. NMIMS Mumbai’s integrated BTech+MBA program offers strong industry exposure, modern infrastructure, and a 90–100% placement rate for tech and management roles, with an average package of ?10.7 lakh for MBA Tech and a robust recruiter base. Manipal Institute of Technology is highly ranked, with a 98.6% CSE placement rate, average package of ?11.76 lakh, and over 230 recruiters, but CPS is a less mainstream course and CSE core is unlikely at your rank. MHT CET 95 percentile opens doors to reputable private Mumbai colleges (VESIT, Vidyalankar, Shah & Anchor, SIES GST) for CSE/IT, but not to top government colleges like VJTI or SPIT, whose CSE cutoffs are above 97–99 percentile.

The recommendation is to accept BTech (CSE)+MBA at NMIMS Mumbai for its strong placement record (however, please check its REFUND POLICY if you withdraw the seat), integrated management edge, and Mumbai location, while keeping an eye on Manipal’s final rounds for any CSE-related seat, and also participating in MHT CET counselling for private Mumbai colleges as a backup. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
