Hi Doctor, I am taking medicine for my sugar and thyroid from past 1 year. For sugar it was 2 times morning and evening but due my diet it came to control and it was adviced to 1/per day now, table name is melmet SR 500. But I dont know how to control thyroid it started with 50mg and now it raise up to 100mg. Tablet name is tyronorm 100mg. Please let me know how I can control my tyroid and it will be great if there is any diet chart for the same.

Ans: For managing thyroid levels, it's important to follow your doctor's advice and take your medication as prescribed. Some tips include foods to eat like selenium-rich brazil nuts, tuna, shrimp, and cottage cheese, iodine-rich foods like dairy products, eggs, and iodized salt, zinc-rich shellfish, chicken, and legumes. Also include antioxidant-rich foods from fruits and vegetables, especially berries, spinach, and kale. Avoid foods that can interfere with thyroid function, such as soy products, cruciferous vegetables (like broccoli and cauliflower), and certain nuts and seeds. Restrain from foods high in sugar and unhealthy fats, which can negatively impact thyroid function.
