You may buy an immediate annuity for a sum of 15 Cr from a life insurance company.

It may yield you post tax monthly income of 5.25 L.

The balance 2 Cr you should invest in equity savings type mutual fund say for eg Kotak equity savings fund(moderate risk)as lumpsum for 10 years.

After 10 years it may grow into a corpus of around 5 Cr. If you use this to make a SWP(~ 3%) it may yield you a post-tax monthly income of 2.1 L, to beat inflation, in addition to 5.25 L per month as mentioned above. Returns from equity savings fund are assumed to be around 9% pa.
