Madam,I am 51 years old .I am diabetic for the last 7 years.My weight is 73 and height is 5'2.My HBA1C is 6.5 at present.And fasting sugar is between 100 to 114 and PP ranges between 136 to 150.Presently I am on Jardiance 25 ,half tab in the morning and Tenglyn M 500 after dinner.What should be my diet and how do I reduce my sugar.

Ans: A diet to reduce blood sugar levels should include high fiber and complex carbohydrates like whole grains, vegetables, fruits, beans, pulses, etc. Foods to avoid include simple carbohydrates, which are processed, such as sugar, pasta, white bread, flour, and cookies, pastries, and namkeens. Protein foods should be had in every meal. Starchy or root vegetables should be eaten in moderation along with other fiber rich veggies. High glycemic index foods should be restricted. Adopt regular exercise.
