Hi I am 25 years old, I have 158 LDL level and Total Cholesterol 221. Problem is this that Cholesterol spots are appearing on my eyes. I am controlling my diet, increased fibres and almost eliminated fried food, no sugar intake such as chocolates. Yet the spots have appeared on my eyes. Xanthelasma is the condition and it is something that has occurred in my maternal family. Is there no way to prevent the appearance of cholesterol spots near my eyes?

Ans: You can take a medicine to reduce the cholesterol further. This is largely genetic and may not completely resolve.

I have some marks on both eyelashes. As per various comments from people, these are due to increasing cholesterol in my blood.. do you have any comments / suggestion?

Ans: High Cholesterol is sometimes shown over the eyelids deposition called Xanthelesma. If this is the condition you are diagnosed with, then follow a dietary protocol and increase your physical activities. It should get addressed

I am 34 years old. My cholesterol is 245 and triglycerides level is 472. I took medicines and it came to normal levels but again after 2-3 months it started increasing. Is there any treatment in allopathy or ayurveda or homeopathy so that it didn't increase again and again. Cure it permanently.

Ans: Diet control with avoiding fried food, If taking animal protein, avoid eating organs , brisk walking and early dinner by 6pm helps. Liver needs to be supported through early dinner

I am a 67 years old woman. My cholesterol level is around 235 and my non HDL cholesterol is 166 and my LDL cholesterol is 164. I sm a vegetarian and i walk minimum 4-5 kns. daily. How can i reduce my cholesterol levels.

Ans: - Shift from Refined oil to Cold-pressed or filter oil
- Restrict fruit to 1 fruit/day
- Include protein with every meal
- check ur vitamin D levels and supplement if ur deficient
- Avoid Processed and packaged foods
- Avoid refined flour products like bread, biscuit, khari&rusk
- More home cooked meals

Hi Doctor! I’m 65 plus yrs. male, weighing around 73kgs. My LDL cholesterol remains in boarder line high since last more than 22 yrs, in YOY blood tests. Total cholesterol is always normal with normal HDL, VLDL and triglyceride. My 2D Echo test done last year shows absolute normal pattern. BP mostly normal within 128/88 and no medication. HBA1C varies between 5.8 - 6.2 all these yrs and no medication. Fasting sugar varies between 95 - 105 all these yrs. I have minor xanthoma on both eyes over the years those almost remain same without any change. Kindly suggest if any medication is needed or should I go ahead as usual

Ans: No need for any medication
But always cross check your result from a different lab once in a while.

Hello Sir, My son got 98 percentile in MHT CET, according to previous year cutoff he can get Civil or Production Engineering in VJTI Mumbai, should he take any of the above branch. Is this good for his future. Please suggest.

With the mentioned percentile, he may gain admission to CSE or computer-related branches with a compromise on the engineering college. Civil engineering is a more preferable branch over Production from a future point of view. Wait until the SML is declared. The scenario will be clearer after the SML.

Deae Sir, my daughter got 14100 in MET, based on phase 1 counselling, she may get MIT bangalore Electronics and computer engineering, MIT main campus Mechatronics / cyber physical system or CSE at Manipal jaipur. Please advise which one is better. We are residing at Hyderabad.

Sir cbse private candidate ke marksheet par school name nahi likha rahata hai ese rule hai cbse ka uske jagah or koi document nahi chalega ya fir nios se class12 karu future me problum to nahi hogi na placement me

How is it possible that the school name is not printed on the mark sheet? Without the school name, the mark sheet/document will not be valid for any counseling process. Raise this issue with the school management as soon as possible to save your year.

My son ssecured 7001 ranking in KCET HK quota shall he eligible to CSE or E&C on RVCE or BMS.

Ans: Hello Dear.
Chances are moderate to slim for CSE or ECE at RVCS/BMS. Look into other branches at RVCE/BMSCE where cutoffs may fall within his rank range, or consider other reputable engineering colleges in Karnataka for a secured seat.
