I am a student of PCB class 12. I want to pursue biotechnology. I want to ask 1. Its scope in India as well as abroad. 2. Which is better b. sc. in biotechnology or b.tech in biotechnology? 3. College or university offering the course at reasonable price as I can't afford high cost

Ans: Biotechnology has immense potential globally and India too is investing both in research and commercial activities and making great strides in the field. If you are interested in a broader understanding of Biotech with an aptitude for Research Development or Quality Control, then a BSc may be more suitable. If you are interested in a more technical and application oriented approach, especially a areas like genetic engg or industrial biotechnology then BTech may be a better fit. Several leading Universities and Collages, including Salem-based Sona College of Arts and Science offer BSc Biotech programs. And BTech Biotech is offered by many IITs, Anna University, University of Pune.
