Sir my son has scored 92.1 percentile in jee mains. Will he get CSE in Amrita- Coimbatore using this score? We have already registered for CSAP.

Ans: Ammbika Madam, With a JEE Main percentile of 92.1 (expected rank ~65,000–70,000), securing CSE at Amrita Coimbatore is unlikely, as the 2024 JEE Main cutoff for CSE there was 95.5 percentile . However, CSE at Amrita Amritapuri (JEE cutoff: ~90–97 percentile) or CSE (AI/ML) at Amrita Bengaluru/Chennai (cutoff: ~88–94 percentile) are feasible options during CSAP counseling . For Coimbatore, consider ECE (cutoff: ~90 percentile) or EEE (cutoff: ~88 percentile) if flexibility exists . Backup options include CSE at mid-tier campuses like Amaravati (cutoff: ~75–92 percentile) or exploring VIT Chennai/Bhopal via VITEEE, where 92.1 percentile aligns with Category 2–3 admissions for CSE-related branches. Prioritize Amritapuri CSE or Bengaluru CSE (AI) during CSAP seat allotment, and keep ECE/EEE at Coimbatore as lower preferences. Try to have some more options as backups instead of relying only on Amrita. All the BEST for your Daughter's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Thank you sir for your assistance. Greatly appreciated.
Ans: Welcome Madam.

Sir, now we have the following options. Please help us in prioritising. 1. VIT Chennai - CSE AIML - category 5. 2. PES - CSE - Electronic City campus. Chances are high in getting CSE- AIML in Ring road branch in second round. 3. Amrita Bangalore - AIDS - slab 4. Second round on 17th. Expecting to get Coimbatore campus any of the 3 flavours say CSE, CSE- AIML, AIDS. We are unable to choose. Please help us
Ans: Prioritize PES Ring Road CSE if secured in Round 2, given its 85–90% placement rate and stronger institutional reputation compared to its Electronic City campus. VIT Chennai CSE (AIML) offers specialized training with 93% placements but higher fees (Category 5), making it viable if budget permits. Amrita Coimbatore CSE/AIML (if accessible) provides 90%+ placements and robust industry ties, outperforming its Bangalore campus. Amrita Bangalore AIDS (Slab 4) lags in campus infrastructure but maintains 85–90% tech placements. Opt for PES Ring Road > VIT Chennai AIML > Amrita Coimbatore CSE > Amrita Bangalore AIDS, balancing branch relevance, campus reputation, and placement consistency. Monitor Round 2 for Amrita Coimbatore upgrades.

Sir, after Amrita second round allotments our positions stands as below. 1. Amrita - Bangalore campus - AIDS - category 3. Mopup round is expected to happen on June 28th. Unable to predict the movement then. 2. PES - EC campus - CSE. Round round yet to be announced. We would not be considering VIT due to various reasons. Kindly advise.
Ans: The recommendation is to prioritize PES University EC campus CSE for its superior placement outcomes, industry reputation, and academic ecosystem, while keeping Amrita Bangalore AIDS as a strong backup if the PES seat is not secured.

Sir, update after Amrita mopup round - Have been alloted Computer Science Engineer - core under slab 3 but Bangalore location. There is uncertainty with regards to PESU second round counseling. We may not be able to secure RR campus. I am looking forward for your suggestion if still PES EC campus stands first followed by Amrita Bangalore.
Ans: Prefer AMRITA-B-CSE over PES-EC.

Career
Dear Sir, I did my BTech from a normal engineering college not very famous. The teaching was not great and hence i did not study well. I tried my best to learn coding including all the technologies like html, css, javascript, react js,dba, php because i wanted to be a web developer But nothing seem to enter my head except html and css. I don't understand a language which has more complexities. Is it because of my lack of experience or not devoting enough time. I am not sure. I did many courses online and tried to do diplomas also abroad which i passed somehow. I recently joined android development course because i like apps but the teaching was so fast that i could not memorize anything. There was no time to even take notes down. During the course i did assignments and understood the code because i have to pass but after the course is over i tend to forget everything. I attempted a lot of interviews. Some of them i even got but could not perform well so they let me go. Now due to the AI booming and job markets in a bad shape i am re-thinking whether to keep studying or whether its just time waste. Since 3 years i am doing labour type of jobs which does not yield anything to me for survival and to pay my expenses. I have the quest to learn everything but as soon as i sit in front of the computer i listen to music or read something else. What should i do to stay more focused? What should i do to make myself believe confident. Is there still scope of IT in todays world? Kindly advise.
Ans: Your story does not show failure.
It shows persistence, effort, and desire to improve.

Most people give up.
You didn’t.
That means you will succeed — but with the right method, not the old one.
