Respected sir, I am shyamala, thank you for your quick response. Can you guide me in detail as a mother how to train my son to achieve his goal of becoming scientist in ISRO or any other central government companies. Can you provide me class wise tips that i can follow like for class 7 what should be his milestones next class 8 , 9, 10, 11th and 12th. I need to know the career path or study path that i can make him to follow. Thank you

Ans: Hello Shyamla.
From 8th std to 10th standard, join him in a reputed Foundation IIT class and observe his progress keenly. Along with foundation class, ask him to appear for all types of state and national level schooling competitive examinations. If he is found competent at every stage, prepare for JEE or state-level engineering tests or take admission to any science-related UG course. Ask him to appear for an exam conducted by ISRO. Working in the field of space research is a challenging job. A candidate with having deep knowledge of basic concepts of Physics and Mathematics can be competent. Join him with a good teacher with sound knowledge of Mental Ability subject.

Ans: Welcome back Shyamala.
Follow all the guidelines already suggested to you. Your kid is very small and it is not worth thinking about what will happen after 10-15 years. Please focus only on the 8th,9th, and 10th standard syllabus and his progress. The child becomes capable of thinking on his own from the 11th standard. Meanwhile, visit the official website of ISRO to learn more about them because the criteria and exam patterns change year by year. Hence you have to update accordingly. Basically, the career path starts only after the 10th standard. Hence keep patient for the next 2-3 years. Enroll his name to Science Olympiad Foundation examinations which are conducted specially for schooling students.

I have taken a policy from SBI Life insurance Retire Smart plan. The policy is for 10 years with a premium payment for 5 years. I have taken the policy in February 2020 and with this month 5 yearsare completed. Now, I want to come out of this. How can I come out with minimum loss.? Can I surrender or close?

Ans: Hello;

Even if you surrender now you can get 60% of your fund value, after deducting charges, and for the balance 40% you have buy an annuity from SBI Life.

This is as per terms and conditions mentioned in the brochure of this plan.

With 97.7 %tile, under OBC-NCL, female category, she may get admission in one of the NITs but not surely in Trichy. You may have to compromise the NIT and branch.

For the All India Quota (AIQ) in NEET, only the central OBC-NCL list is considered. If your OBC-NCL certificate is from your state but your caste is not in the central OBC list, then it will not be valid for AIQ reservations. If your caste is in both the state and central OBC lists, apply for a central OBC-NCL certificate to use it for AIQ in NEET.

Under the ST category, your son can get admission to one of the NITs. But the chances of getting AI+ML may be challenging. Hence keep other branches' options open. Best of luck to your son.
