Hi Sir It's Vivek Kashyap Here..... Sir I'm Getting a seat @ Lovely Professional University in B.Tech-CSE-(AI with ML) so is it a Good Option to look forward to....or I shall Register For CSAB to Get a Government Engineering College.... Also There have Been Rumours that LPU isn't a Better Option and that it's a Fraudulent University....It Doesn't that what it seems to be to the Folks...
Ans: Vivek, Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, ranked in the top 50 by NIRF for engineering. Its accreditations include the highest NAAC A++ rating, recognition by UGC, NBA, and several international agencies. Placement data confirms that 80–90% of LPU’s engineering students have secured placements in recent years, with 1,057 recruiters participating and most students getting multiple offers from leading tech firms such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. The campus provides strong infrastructure, diverse peer interactions, and abundant co-curricular opportunities, although some reviews point to challenges such as average hostel food, occasional network issues, and variability in teaching quality among faculty members. Unbiased reviews from verified educational portals and job sites categorize LPU as legitimate, not fraudulent, highlighting a 3.8/5 work environment rating and 73% “would recommend” rate from employees. Student testimonials indicate satisfaction with the practical approach and industry alignment of the AI & ML program but also suggest that semester exams can be tough and academic rigor is required. Key independent sources, including government documents and CSAB’s official portal, confirm that the CSAB rounds offer opportunities for government college seats to candidates with valid JEE Main scores, often at a lower cost and with higher perceived value in public sector recruitment. LPU remains a substantial private higher-ed institution; the spread of misinformation and rumors about its legitimacy is routinely contradicted by major academic recognitions and authentic student outcomes.

Recommendation: LPU is a credible option with strong placements, robust campus life, accreditations, and industry partnerships in AI & ML, but if you qualify for a reputable government college through CSAB, that path generally offers better public sector recognition, value for money, and long-term credential strength, making it preferable wherever possible. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Gd mrng sir my son has a cutoff of 161 and he belongs to bc category. His percentage in hsc+2 examination is 85.33 he has applied to Tnea counseling and he had been selected in round 2 .His general rank is 89400.His community rank is 45100.His wish is to join in top tier 1 colleges with branches like mechanical engineering, civil engineering and other low demand branches and his wish to join in colleges like SSN ,ceg and psg etc.If vacancies are available and if we opt for that vacancies will he be considered and get any of the one colleges that I had mentioned.Because I consulted my colleagues and one of their son also scored like this cutoff and he opted for Mtech integrated courses in SSN and he has been selected in round 2 last year and his cutoff is 159.5 and he belongs to bc category.like this will my son able to choose any of these groups if vacancies are available. I would expect a positive reply from u soon. Thank u sir.
Ans: Nithin Sir, Admission to top tier 1 colleges like SSN College of Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), and PSG College of Technology through TNEA is primarily determined by the cutoff scores corresponding to each college, branch, and reserved category. For the BC category, regular BTech programs in mechanical or civil engineering at these colleges typically have closing cut-off marks far above 161, often ranging between 185–195 for mechanical and 170–190 for civil engineering, and correspond to much lower ranks than 45,000 on the BC list. Vacancies in later rounds (Round 2 or 3) are usually for less preferred colleges or branches with historically lower cut-offs. However, lower-demand/less competitive branches or newly introduced integrated programs (such as BTech+MTech) in these top colleges may occasionally admit BC candidates with a cutoff near 160, but these seats are extremely limited and filled mostly if higher-ranked candidates do not claim them in previous rounds. The TNEA counseling process allows candidates to opt for any available vacancy in choice filling, and if a vacancy aligns with your son's cutoff, community rank, and chosen college-branch combination, he will be considered, provided no higher preference is chosen by better-ranked candidates in the same category. The case you cited about admission to an integrated course in SSN at a similar cutoff is possible but is an exception tied to lower demand for that particular branch or year. Monitoring live vacancy status and promptly locking choices is crucial, as TNEA allotment operates strictly by rank, community reservation, and real-time availability. Always prioritize realistic options while still listing aspirational choices to maximize chances.

Recommendation: In the current cycle, core branches at top colleges for BC with a cutoff of 161 are unlikely through regular rounds, but if very low-demand or integrated programs remain vacant, admission is possible. Stay vigilant during choice filling and opt for realistic plus aspirational options to give your son every chance at a top institution. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Ans: IIT Dhanbad’s BTech in Engineering Physics offers robust theoretical grounding in physics and computational methods, complemented by hands-on research opportunities in areas such as solid state and nanoscience. The program features a faculty experienced in national and international collaborations and a modern curriculum with access to infrastructure like Asia’s second-largest library. Placement percentages for Engineering Physics have averaged around 47–56% in recent years, with prominent recruiters spanning technology and analytics sectors.

IISER Bhopal’s BTech emphasizes interdisciplinary training, industry-aligned curriculum, and an active research culture across science and engineering, supported by faculty with international credentials. The institute’s placement rate for science and BTech disciplines is strong, recently reaching 80% and reflecting increasing recruitment from both IT and core science industries. Both institutions foster modern infrastructure, holistic peer interactions, and multiple channels for internships and further studies, but IISER Bhopal is distinguished by its research orientation and global academic exposure.

Recommendation: For those seeking a balance of theoretical rigor, broad research prospects, and global academic ties in science and engineering, IISER Bhopal’s BTech is advantageous, especially for careers in research or sectoral flexibility. For focused training in applied physics with emerging technology roles, IIT Dhanbad remains a credible and established choice. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Dear sir, my son is getting IIT Bhilai metallurgy and material science in JOSAA. He has option of RVCE ECE through COMEDK. Distance is not and issue. How are job placements for IIT bhilai branch vs RVCE ECE. He might get MSC math or physics in BITS
Ans: IIT Bhilai’s Metallurgy and Material Science program has demonstrated an improving placement trend, with an overall BTech placement rate ranging from 72% to 90% in recent years, indicating good employability and growth for graduates in core engineering roles. RV College of Engineering’s ECE branch stands out in the private engineering space, with placement rates consistently ranging from 90% to 97% and strong recruitment from top tech firms and multinational companies, reflecting robust industry ties and career diversity in electronics, IT, and consulting sectors. BITS Integrated MSc Math and Physics programs are widely recognized for academic rigor, modern infrastructure, and placement rates typically above 90%, with students receiving offers from leading technology, finance, data science, and research-oriented companies. All three institutions provide strong alumni networks and contemporary learning resources, though BITS and RVCE benefit from longer-standing industry connections compared to the newer IIT Bhilai.

Recommendation: For a career leveraging high placement rates and flexible domain opportunities, RVCE ECE or BITS MSc routes are optimal, especially given their established reputation and strong industry interface. IIT Bhilai is a promising choice for those strongly interested in core engineering, but placement momentum in RVCE ECE and BITS MSc currently offers broader assurance and versatility. All the BEST for Your Prosperous Future!

Hello sir.. Sir, can you please help me? I completed class 12th this year with 92.5% and qualified both jee mains and jee advanced. But unfortunately, i couldn't get any seat in iit. I don't want to waste an year , so can I get suggestions for best international public universities which provide best infrastructure and placement rates( I would like to study biotechnology and bioinformatics) with scholarships. Can you please help me sir?
Ans: Hello dear
You don’t need to waste a year. You can apply to top public universities abroad for Biotech/Bioinformatics with scholarships. Here are a few options for you: (1) Germany: TU Munich, Heidelberg University (low/no tuition, great research, need German for some courses) (2) USA: University of Wisconsin-Madison, UC San Diego, University of Minnesota (apply for need/merit-based aid) (3) Canada: University of Toronto, UBC (strong in biotech, partial scholarships) (4) Singapore: NUS, NTU (excellent in life sciences, offer scholarships to international students) (5) Netherlands: Wageningen University (top for biotech, some English-taught bachelor’s, partial scholarships).

Start preparing for IELTS/TOEFL and apply. You won’t lose a year if you begin applications now.

However, I recommend seeking a second opinion from an abroad education consultant nearby or in your city. We are not experts in abroad education consulting. We have provided basic information to you. Please visit the official websites of the universities mentioned above for more accurate information.

Final suggestion: Instead of focusing solely on institutions abroad, note that the same courses are available in India at top private universities with affordable fees. The final decision will be yours.

Good luck.
