Sir,in most of the top tier IITs, ECE is not available and only Electrical is shown as one of the branch. Then how do we opt for ECEin these IITs

Ans: Most top-tier IITs do not offer a separate undergraduate Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch; instead, they provide Electrical Engineering (EE), which covers both electrical and electronics fundamentals. Students interested in ECE can choose electives in electronics, communication systems, VLSI, and signal processing during later years. Some IITs also offer minors or honors in electronics or communications, allowing specialization within EE. For focused ECE study, postgraduate programs like M.Tech are available. Thus, by opting for Electrical Engineering and selecting relevant electives or minors, students can effectively pursue ECE-related subjects and careers within the IIT framework.
