Hi Mayank, I am 47 years and unemployed female. I have done my Masters in Commerce. My career was never great. I am determined but nothing works for me. As a result I am completely blank. Indian job market after 40 no jobs. I do not have any clue how to start. Please advise

I would suggest two possible career paths for you.

First, since COVID has now receded, you can get back to your family business.

You can increase your understanding and knowledge in this sphere by doing an online course on managing family businesses.

The second option is sales; since you have done so well in your own business, I am certain you will be a successful sales professional. Take up a course in sales management and look for opportunities in sales or even customer relations.

Your career path will be decided by your interest and skills and not so much by your commerce degree.

So, if you are good in accounting, then you can look for a job in finance.

If you are good with organising and coordination, then admin is a good option.

If you have skills for sales, then that is another great career option.
