Mechanical is a core branch & Surathkal is amongst top NIT you can go ahead with it

If you want to get into CSE then go with MSRIT it will be better than lower NITs or IIITs
If you want to get into the core field then go for DTU. Today everyone is racing for CSE coz core field takes time to settle down in career.

Ans: IIIT B is a better college so can be preferred unless he has specific interest in CSc.
