I joined MSRIT ( cse cyber ) this year , i got 96 percentile in mains , but rank was round 60k (open) , I was having option in BMSCE cse core but I dropped it as the seat intake in cse core itself went from 300 to 1200 , Here at Msrit few told me I should have taken civil , mech , metallurgy at nits or life sci at NIT rourkela, I love to learn coding now , but could u tell me did I have taken a right decision , I was thinking too one time about that nit tag but as from this year onwards branch change provision in may nits has been stopped so I took msrit! I am big depressed did I choose right decsion or not , plz elaborate sir/mam

Ans: MSRIT is a well-established institution with a strong reputation for engineering, particularly in computer science and related branches.
The CSE Cyber specialization is one of the most in-demand fields, especially with the growth in data security, ethical hacking, cybersecurity, and AI.
The NIT tag is definitely prestigious, but keep in mind that it’s important to choose a field that aligns with your passion. While civil, mechanical, or metallurgy at an NIT would give you the NIT brand, these fields may not provide the same level of growth and opportunities (at least in the short term) as CSE Cyber.
Upskill yourself in coding, algorithms, data structures, cybersecurity, and other relevant fields.
Participate in hackathons, coding competitions, and internships.
Do relevant online courses from NPTEL etc, to gather skills.
