I want career guidance for my son studying in 10th grade in CBSE pattern. He usually secures 85% overall. He stays confused in which stream to choose further. He usually gets good marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. He has an introvert personality. He likes playing xbox and cricket and also pursing Keyboard music classes under Trinity Music school certification program. He follows US youtube channels like Dude perfect, Mr.Beast etc and likes exploring latest tech gadgets or mobile apps or mobile features etc. He sometimes like watching Shark tank India episodes etc, but he can't understand the business discussion part. Please suggest which career stream which will suit him well. Thanks.
Ans: I have read your personal evaluation of your son as a doting parent.
I can only advice based on the observations made by you.

In these situations these are called reactive counselling which will not be accurate simply because I haven't heard from the incumbent.
The child is talented and has a creative mind too with the music school certification too!
The mind is experimental looking for new creative challenges.

The career stream should be based on the candidates acumen and aptitude.
Prima facie you have knocked out business and commerce based on your statement can't understand business ...!

Synopsis:gets good marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry

So science stream is suggested, however need to meet candidate for professional career counselling.

All the best in the most important decision!

My son is in class 11th. He scored 84.6% in his cbse class 10th exams. He scored 99/100 in maths and 74/100 in science. He has chosen PCM with English and physical education. He is interested in computers and wants to become software engineer.what other possible career options will be good for him? He is introvert and takes time to mix with people . Please suggest the roadmap and best coaching options also. Will it be ok to join the online coaching classes for JEE in this year ? Or after completing 12th class, should he take a drop for coaching?
Ans: Please note, (1) Taking a drop after 12th is not advisable. (2) As he is good in Maths, it is better to join at least Online JEE Classes (Allen or AhaGuru) if you are not able to afford for offline regular classes (3) He has to further improve in his Science (4) As he is introvert and interested in Computers / Software, Computer Science would be more suitable for him (5) However, to get admission into any reputed college (anywhere in India), he should score a decent Percentile / Rank in Competitive Exams. (6) Please prepare him for other competitive exams also such as your State Engineering Entrance Exams, COMEDK, SRMJEE, VITEEE, & also other Private Engineering Colleges' Entrance Exams (7) He should appear minimum 5-7 Entrance Exams to have more options open to choose the best one for him. (8) Please go through one of my answers to know about the practical preparation strategies for Entrance Exams. All the BEST for your Son's Bright Future.

Vikas Sir, Prefer VIT-AP, followed by KIIT. As suggested always, your daughter should keep upgrading her skills from 1st year itself till last year (campus recruitment) through NPTEL, Internshala, Coursera, LinkedIn etc. and / or any other online platforms for the same, recommended by her college faculties. All the BEST for your Daughter's Bright Future Sir.

Relationship
Hi Anu I am a married woman with a very supportive husband and daughter. For last 10 years I am having an affair with a colleague and things are pretty well between us. Both of us have found the comfort and requisite from each other which we missed in married life and it saved our respective marriage though none of our family are aware of it. We balanced this till now effectively. Recently I got an opportunity within the company which is very lucrative and will enhance my career goals altogether however, for this I have to shift to another state. Now , my bf is very upset on this as it means he will not be able to meet me as we do every day. My husband and Daughter is fine with my shifting however my parents who are old are also apprehensive since I am the only child and do take care of them. My husband has assured to support them in absence of me and I have full confidence on him. All throughout my life I have focused on my professional career and have worked towards that and now when I got this opportunity I am emotionally unstable and unable to take the decision. My dilemma is surrounding various aspects. 1- Don’t want to leave my BF as he is my strength. 2- My parents are old and since I being the only child, they ae 3- If I could not perform in the new role then? 4- The daily hardship that I have to take over in a new place as my husband will not shift. 5- Remuneration wise not as such however if you say power then yes. Learning – knowledge enhancement and career upliftment - yes very much. 6- Current role will not grow much however stability as of now do exists. Can you help me to take the decision ?
Ans: Dear Nibedita,
What is important to you and what helps you grow professionally and personally must be looked at? Constraints are always going to play a role BUT working around it may help you make a decision. If professionally you are going to grow into the role and for this you need to work around things for the time being, then you must do just that. But in all this, do factor that you have a daughter who is still young and will need your presence a lot; physically and emotionally.
Now, how you work this with your BF is something that is between the two of you; but it's not power or money BUT how you grow in your new role.
Also, talk to your family and come to an arrangement whereby they also become your pillar of strength and support. You will then be able to come to a viable decision.

All the best!
