Hello sir, Could you guide on what different masters program can be pursued abroad esp in USA after graduation from BAMS. Ayurveda credentials are not processed by WESS and that makes it difficult to apply for public health programs that accept only WESS through SOPHAS system.

Ans: Hi,

I think you have goals to move to the USA and settle there. Many graduates from fields like dentistry, pharmacy, or public health pursue opportunities in the USA. After completing their studies, they can find jobs related to public health or continue in their core subjects.

However, I don’t understand why you are choosing to study public health after becoming a doctor in Ayurveda. I feel it may be a waste of time and money. Moreover, the Indian medicine system is not practiced in the US, which is probably why it has not been included in the SHOPHAS (this is my understanding).

So, please plan accordingly.

Though I have a passion for Ayurvedic science, I’m not keen on becoming an Ayurvedic physician. Could you suggest some in-demand courses (maximum 2 years) with global accreditation that I can pursue either here or abroad? Thanks!

Ans: I suggest delving deeper into ayurveda. It's important to learn more about prescribing medicine using VPK principles. By specializing in your field, you can open up a lot of opportunities for yourself. The skills and eligibility required to enter the AYUSH department and pharmaceutical companies include competency and knowledge of herbs for clinical trials and manufacturing.

You can also conduct research and develop new formulations. If your formulation is groundbreaking, you can even apply for an award from the central government. Stay focused and committed, and don't expect high pay right from the start.

Ans: With 91 percentile in JEE Mains 2025 and EWS category, getting CSE in NITs or IIITs might be difficult, but you can still get CSE in some good state government or private colleges.
