Depends upon your Interest & the Branches you prefer.

Apart from NIT & IIITs, apply also for JAC to target 5-Reputed Universities i.e. i.e. DTU, NSUT, IGDIW, IIITD & DSEU. You can easily get admission into any one of the Braches you target.

Whatever Institute / University & Branch you choose, you should keep upgrading your skills from your 1st year itself till your Campus Placement during your last year, from NPTEL, Internshala etc. and / or any other online platforms, recommended by your College Faculties, to be COMPETENT among other Students.

Ans: You could have tried for any one of the NITs. Instead of relying only on JEE/IITs/NITs, all should have Plan B & Plan C by appearing in some other Entrance Exams Also.
